FRISKIE · Mon Jun 26, 2017 05:37 PM UTC · #8999
does it just make them all available? or aggregate the search results from all?
AvPro · Mon Jun 26, 2017 05:37 PM UTC · #9000
Anyone going to buy the BTC dip?
FRISKIE · Mon Jun 26, 2017 05:38 PM UTC · #9001
Anyone going to buy the BTC dip? BTC is correcting a lot less than the others, I'd go for ETH, LTC and Monero
AvPro · Mon Jun 26, 2017 05:44 PM UTC · #9002
I’ve had enough of BTC going down now... up again please and thanks
frphm · Mon Jun 26, 2017 05:48 PM UTC · #9003
How is BCC worth $50 per coin? There's only been 1,000 traded in the last 24 hrs
AvPro · Mon Jun 26, 2017 05:59 PM UTC · #9004
I think gain interest on the coins if you hold them? Or similar. I remember doing some research a while back
FRISKIE · Mon Jun 26, 2017 06:08 PM UTC · #9006
I’ve had enough of BTC going down now I'm actually encouraged by how little the BTC drop is relative to other major coins
GregoryGHarding · Mon Jun 26, 2017 06:21 PM UTC · #9007
do you think theres gonna be an automated mass sale of eth with these corrections like there was last week
GregoryGHarding · Mon Jun 26, 2017 06:21 PM UTC · #9008
if there is thats twice in two weeks and il lose all trust in eth, not that i had much anyway
GregoryGHarding · Mon Jun 26, 2017 06:22 PM UTC · #9009
il just try and grab eth at 10 cents for a few mins lol
FRISKIE · Mon Jun 26, 2017 06:28 PM UTC · #9010
Any pending recovery is being hindered by exchanges getting knocked offline from high traffic, and those that are operating are overloaded
mmfiore · Mon Jun 26, 2017 06:29 PM UTC · #9011
why exactly does coinbase shutdown every time there is a big drop in Bitcoin or ethereum. What are they afraid of?
FRISKIE · Mon Jun 26, 2017 06:30 PM UTC · #9013
So we may not be seeing the accurate picture right now in our market monitors, as bargain hunters try to re-enter the market they'll run into the mess at the exchanges and the results of those trades will be delayed
FRISKIE · Mon Jun 26, 2017 06:30 PM UTC · #9015
No, they get overloaded and go offline, cant handle the teaffic
GregoryGHarding · Mon Jun 26, 2017 06:31 PM UTC · #9017
thats a naturally occuring dos...
FRISKIE · Mon Jun 26, 2017 06:31 PM UTC · #9018
their own customers DoSing them with trades
mmfiore · Mon Jun 26, 2017 06:33 PM UTC · #9019
Just got a article that said as Bitcoin and ethereum fall Coinbase goes offline and GDax Halts trading. The keyword is halts trading.
mmfiore · Mon Jun 26, 2017 06:34 PM UTC · #9020
I suspect that coinbase is not having troubles withconnections or volume. I think they are halting trading until things cool off.
FRISKIE · Mon Jun 26, 2017 06:34 PM UTC · #9021
GDAX revealed it was temporarily halting trading completely for all trading pairs, stating: We are temporarily halting trading across all products and moving to post-only mode while we work to restore service to all customers.

Coinbase is – once again – experiencing a complete outage
mmfiore · Mon Jun 26, 2017 06:36 PM UTC · #9023
Okay, they need to improve their system to be able to handle higher loads.
FRISKIE · Mon Jun 26, 2017 06:37 PM UTC · #9024
A technical post-mortem analysis of the many outages revealed a 10x growth in user traffic, with a Coinbase engineer stating the exchange is “investing significant resources to make our systems scale with the next 10x growth in traffic.”
mmfiore · Mon Jun 26, 2017 06:38 PM UTC · #9025
That is good. That is exactly what they need is a scalable system.
FRISKIE · Mon Jun 26, 2017 06:39 PM UTC · #9026
Uhum, we've seen recently here at prohashing how difficult it is to maintain service for users while you try to scale performance our to meet increased demand
AvPro · Mon Jun 26, 2017 06:40 PM UTC · #9027
yeah agreed servers slowing down aint helping people buying in to bring the price up
FRISKIE · Mon Jun 26, 2017 06:41 PM UTC · #9028
These guys really did ge caught by surprise, I can feel for them, and the dilemma of not knowing how much to invest, or whether to invest at all, maybe it's all a bubble that collapses and all the traffic goes away with it
FRISKIE · Mon Jun 26, 2017 06:41 PM UTC · #9029
I think not, but it is a valid business concern
mmfiore · Mon Jun 26, 2017 06:41 PM UTC · #9030
True... it seems overall the coinmarket is lower overall. Its amazing how the entire market tends to move much like schooling fish.
GregoryGHarding · Mon Jun 26, 2017 06:42 PM UTC · #9031
sign up for their statu notifications, their swamped. they dont purposfully go offline
FRISKIE · Mon Jun 26, 2017 06:42 PM UTC · #9032
or today like stampeding cattle
FRISKIE · Mon Jun 26, 2017 06:42 PM UTC · #9033
We know GGH , it's tough for them at these high traffic times
AvPro · Mon Jun 26, 2017 06:43 PM UTC · #9034
news outlets writing sensational headlines also does not help the situation
GregoryGHarding · Mon Jun 26, 2017 06:43 PM UTC · #9035
news isnt about news anymore, its all about clickthrough
mmfiore · Mon Jun 26, 2017 06:44 PM UTC · #9036
Generally speaking I stopped watching mainstream news because it is so manipulative.
FRISKIE · Mon Jun 26, 2017 06:44 PM UTC · #9037
I agree the headlines just fuel the stampede, but it's maybe not a bad thing to rird the market of such weak nerved speculators
FRISKIE · Mon Jun 26, 2017 06:45 PM UTC · #9039
Generally speaking I stopped watching mainstream news because it is so manipulative. yep
FRISKIE · Mon Jun 26, 2017 06:46 PM UTC · #9040
it's a propaganda machine for sure
FRISKIE · Mon Jun 26, 2017 06:47 PM UTC · #9043
Let it break through 200 and automatic buy orders will kick in
mmfiore · Mon Jun 26, 2017 06:47 PM UTC · #9044
The entire time they only showed close ups so you could not see how big the crowd really was.
FRISKIE · Mon Jun 26, 2017 06:47 PM UTC · #9045
would be crowds in excess of 200 hundred thousand. lots of gay pride
how many showed up?
mmfiore · Mon Jun 26, 2017 06:48 PM UTC · #9046
When it was over they estimated only about 50000 which I am skeptical about as well. I just don’t like being lied to.
mmfiore · Mon Jun 26, 2017 06:50 PM UTC · #9048
Another Headline just in Monday Massacre: Bitcoin, Ethereum Lead the way as CRyptocurrencies Retreat into the Red.
mmfiore · Mon Jun 26, 2017 06:51 PM UTC · #9049
Talk about sensational headline.
FRISKIE · Mon Jun 26, 2017 06:51 PM UTC · #9050

frphm · Mon Jun 26, 2017 07:03 PM UTC · #9053
I'm really enjoying the panic memes that are popping up on all the cryptocurrency subreddits
AvPro · Mon Jun 26, 2017 07:03 PM UTC · #9054

mmfiore · Mon Jun 26, 2017 07:08 PM UTC · #9057
Speaking about the masses now... There is really only two things that drive a market. Greed and Fear. Today its fear... Tomorrow it will be greed.
FRISKIE · Mon Jun 26, 2017 07:11 PM UTC · #9058
if you mean only 2 things drive a market into over-reactions i can agree
mmfiore · Mon Jun 26, 2017 07:12 PM UTC · #9063
Yes definitely for over reactions... Anybody know the story on a coin called IOTA?
FRISKIE · Mon Jun 26, 2017 07:12 PM UTC · #9065
Yes, IOTA is one that I will buy and hold, once it finds its bottom
GregoryGHarding · Mon Jun 26, 2017 07:13 PM UTC · #9066
monday massacre.. "bitcoin and ethereum lead the way"
mmfiore · Mon Jun 26, 2017 07:13 PM UTC · #9067
It shot up like a rocket out of no where the other day.
GregoryGHarding · Mon Jun 26, 2017 07:13 PM UTC · #9068
meanwhile in the real world they have the biggest loss
FRISKIE · Mon Jun 26, 2017 07:16 PM UTC · #9069
IOTA had a bit too big of an opening for its own good, and falling back ever since, but the technology is worth paying attention too - its not a blockchain, the concept is called the "tangle" where transactions are not linear, as in a blockchain, but progress into multi-layered conection matrix that supposedly reduces the cost of a transaction the more participants the network has
mmfiore · Mon Jun 26, 2017 07:17 PM UTC · #9070
Hopefully the business model and design are good enough for it to have continued growth.
AvPro · Mon Jun 26, 2017 07:18 PM UTC · #9074

FRISKIE · Mon Jun 26, 2017 07:20 PM UTC · #9081
I was taking from Cryptocompare which averages the price from the main exchanges
mmfiore · Mon Jun 26, 2017 07:21 PM UTC · #9082
Where does coincap get their prices from?
FRISKIE · Mon Jun 26, 2017 07:21 PM UTC · #9083
their own buy/sell activity I would imagine
mmfiore · Mon Jun 26, 2017 07:22 PM UTC · #9084
