Then it comes down to bash hashboards or bad power supply. You'd have to look into log to see the cause.
Re: L3+ Reboots on its own at random. Is this Normal?
Difficulty being too low can trigger reboots probably due to overload.
Another issue i heard which could trigger reboots is many HW errors in a short amount of time.
And of course temperature over 80C triggers a stop/reboot.
My own L3+ don't have any issues.

i have it set to dynamic diff (no password argument)
PSU = APW3++1600
PSU = APW3++1600

Mine would reset every hour when connected to multipool. Prohashing seems to be much more stable, and the L3+ only resets one every 1-2 days.

kuakoa wrote:Thank you for the reply DELTASNIPER73. I have read it may be a power supply wattage issue, but nothing definitive. What size power supply are you using? Mine is an EVGA 1050w.
Nothing to do with power supply, i have 2 miners running on original Antminers PSU, some on 1500w EVGA some on 1200w Corsair all still randomly reboot, no overheating issues either.
my guess it's the bug in the software
Re: L3+ Reboots on its own at random. Is this Normal?
Ah interesting to see I'm not the only one. I figured it was due to something with the pool or coin it was mining perhaps. It didn't seem to do it the day I tested on litecoinpool.org (only one day though).
I've tested with 1300Watt Antec Platinum and now I'm running the APW3+ on 208v. I don't think there's anything wrong with your PSU

Would it be better to set difficulty to auto?
Re: L3+ Reboots on its own at random. Is this Normal?
There is a difference between rebooting and the miner performing a mining restart.kuakoa wrote:Hello, is it normal for my L3+ to reboot periodically? Its been happening at random couple times per day. Thanks in advance.
The only way to tell if your miner is rebooting itself is to ssh into it and check the system uptime.
You can't go off of the miner status page as to whether or not its rebooting itself because any time the miner does a mining restart, it will reset it's miner status.
