I have Two-factor authentication enabled, I'm just courious, what happens if our phone breaks or needs replaced? How do we authenticate via a new or different phone?
Just trying to figure out what I should think about if that happens in the future.
Thanks

Re: Two-factor authentication
If you have used google 2FA then there is no backup by default, you have to create your own backups. If you loose your phone you account will be lost.bbrodka wrote:I have Two-factor authentication enabled, I'm just courious, what happens if our phone breaks or needs replaced? So, when you create the 2FA code you either need to 1. make a copy on another phone that you keep safe somewhere. 2. print out the QR code and store it safe somewhere.

You can use Authy or other app instead of Google default 2FA app. This might help if you lost your phone but I'm not sure about this.

I'm backing up the code in the Authy app. Authy may sync to its server or something. I'm not sure. However, I'm not really know about the way to recover from Authy because my device is still not lost.DoNotUseYourName wrote:How do you backup code with Authy?
