System offline on November 21

Hi,

Every year, we've taken the system offline for major maintenance around Thanksgiving, and this year will be no exception. The entire system will be offline on November 21, for around 12 hours, to perform upgrades. While the exact list of upgrades will be added later, right now we anticipate upgrading to PostgreSQL 10, which has support for increased parallelism in queries. We also need to install yet more solid state disks to deal with the enormous problem of the size of the ETH blockchain, and Chris will be installing more daemon servers for SHA-256 mining.

If we decide for expansion, then we will also be migrating to the Enterprise class Internet connection, away from Javapipe and the VPN solution. That will require DNS updates as well.

Thanks,

-Steve

Steve I am knocked off on 2 miners again and I am not a NH customer. All weekend a problem

Steve can I get a response on my ticket?? thanks

Please upgrade, get all these problems to go away ^^

That will be your best bet I hope its soon.

@mycide what do you mean by "upgrade" ?

Thanks ! =)

Steve; this is great news. I will be adding more miners to my farm in the next couple of months. Do you have an ETA when sha256 will be available?

Not right now. SHA-256 will require coin assignment to be parallelized first, and we can't do that until we make a decision about the future and hire people.

If everything were to go well, February or March would probably be a good estimate.

I understand, the bad thing about growing a business is all of the decisions that come with it. I am trying to spread hash power among pools and hardware so I may add additional A4+'s in this first purchase.
