Yeah... the price of ETH is way down. I’m earning roughly half what I was a month ago for raw daily USD value right now. In terms of value adjusted for the decline in ETH, I’m still down about half what I was making over two months ago. It definitely sucks right now.

if your GPU has at least 6GB of VRAM, stick to ETH. even if your GPU only has 4GB VRAM, ETC still can get better profitability than Kawpow. you might roughly earn the same between kawpow and etchash but like ethash, etchash can be easily configured to reduce power consumption and suffer no degradation to hashrate

unless you found a block and get reward for a block if not can’t be gettting more from kawpow. rx580 should have around 32MH/s for ethash and with like 3.65c/MH/s/day, you should end up with S1.16 after 24 hr. for kawpow rx580 should be between 10 to 12MH/s and the rate at prohashing for kawpow is about 5.6c/MH//day meaning at most you can get $0.70 after 24 hours.

Bleh I went to start up kawpow and it looks like when I stopped mining one of my 4GB cards gave up the ghost. I don’t feel like troublshooting it tonight. hopefully tomorrow I can get her working again. She has lights and fans are moving, so maybe it’s something else.

Yeah I don’t think so either. My GPU is showing 6.13MH/s client-side and a whopping 92H/s on the dashboard. I’ve also earned multiple dollars in just 2hrs of mining allegedly

i suppose the border line between ETCHASH and KAWPOW for 4GB card is etchash can’t drop below 2cents/MH/s/day and kawpow hitting above 6cents/MH/s/day. when that happens, probably time to switch over to kawpow
