It seems like Spammers can bypass the anti-spam system. I think we need more powerful recapcha.

Hi guys, did anyone notice profits for 5/22 were especally low? Was it just me or was pool luck especially low today?
Varashilo · Wed May 23, 2018 05:49 AM UTC · #86022
yes i think too that profit was not good today
mcdavi02 · Wed May 23, 2018 05:50 AM UTC · #86023
Prices were low, but 5/22 was one of my lowest profit days ever, way under energy cost...
alim · Wed May 23, 2018 05:56 AM UTC · #86024
@mcdavi02 - my dailies have been dropping a bit - check to see if you have any chips out and reboot - I found I had quite a few marked "x". Rebooting seemed to get them working again.
alim · Wed May 23, 2018 05:57 AM UTC · #86025
As the price of bitcoin drops, it affects the value of the coins mined - as long as the "weight"/amount is the same - we are good!

Unless hte whole pool had bad luck for the day; my hash rates were in line with normal, so I guess it is just the coin prices low, or more hashpower...

why was the thread, Pool Failures deleted? it did not violate the new terms for, ’chat’. it was at least a couple sentence OP. actually, i have it here: Pool failures Postby ryguy » Thu May 24, 2018 1:40 am As I write this share processing has been down again for approximately an hour. Hashrate that is accepted, but not paid is merely theft. Had I not been awake to see it in person I would have wasted funds as shares were submitted, but not paid out, which is unacceptable for any pool. Although my time at this pool has been somewhat brief, it has been clearly demonstrated that this pool is failing to provide basic functionality in any reliable way. For the large fees we are paying there should be no reason to have unstable servers, failure to process shares and an endless barrage of bugs and code issues. At a 5% fee, which in my experience is unheard of at any other pool, I feel like I’m just lining the pockets of the pool owners and getting very little service in return, especially when considering that basic pool functions fail at an incredible frequency. The code that was released today seems, if anything, to have made things worse. I would like an honest assessment of why this pool is worth 5% of my earnings when it is unable to deliver on reliability alone.

just noticed, scrypt and equihash autopool paid out less than straight mining the defaults for those algos? are the hash readings or profit calcs off after the update or are those accurate numbers now?

CSZiggy wrote: just noticed, scrypt and equihash autopool paid out less than straight mining the defaults for those algos? are the hash readings or profit calcs off after the update or are those accurate numbers now? they were equal yesterday - if they turn out lower today then we’ll investigate why that is; it may be because we were too cautious about the results of the new weighting, and if so, we’ll credit customers at the end of the day

for some reason there’s been a lot of attacks on coin networks recently trying to reverse transactions
Steve Sokolowski · Sat May 26, 2018 02:54 PM UTC · #86535
we need to do something about that and I perhaps need to prioritize moving up my effort to reverse 51% attacks
Steve Sokolowski · Sat May 26, 2018 02:54 PM UTC · #86537
we should have enough hashrate to reverse the theft the next time Verge is attacked, for example

Steve Sokolowski · Sat May 26, 2018 05:41 PM UTC · #86541
profitability is simply pool earnings / hashrate, and pool earnings is incorrect, so once Chris credits miners more money, that will be fixed
