No. My logic doesn’t suggest that they overclock the machines as much as they can. Overclocking has nothing to do with stratum software settings, and I have talking about these settings, obviously...
Shares diff only affect the number of shares you submit, so vardiff is enough unless the pool is misconfigured/buggy (which is not the case for most miners here, but can happens, who knows?) or your network is congested.
With a lower diff than what you get with the vardiff algorithm, you would lost less shares when there are job restart, but that’s not really significant in most cases.
im sure you just leave everything the way it is without testing anything then talk like you know. try not talkin down to people.... especially when giving out bad info
jake last time I ran my tests, but with the updates, load balances, multi servers now not so sure, but last time I tested, no D= was higher payouts than using a D setting for me
@Jakeg5280 I’m an experienced developer that uses the stratum protocol everyday since more 1 month, and I developed a stratum proxy server. Having "more shares" means nothing... Set d=1 and you will have litterally 1 billion of shares per second. What counts is the diff of these shares.
From the help page, this is what prohashing calls "restart delays": "The intermediate calculations take time to perform, so there is a set delay before miners are able to submit their first shares after a work restart. This time is referred to by Prohashing as the work restart delay."
Anyway, you’re probably not even understanding anything. IMO, that’s a problem, nobody understand a shit about all the information they have on their dashboards.
@confusedjtag : yes the day BCC spiked the pool found 100 extra blocks that all got orphaned, none got paid, and everyone lost like 25-30% of that day's profits, mistakes happen, coins get attacked, corrections get made.
and on the days the pool doesnt tabulate correctly, its also adjusted and on both days, because of a correction an extra 15% bonus was paid out as a thank you and sorry to have to make the correction.
Appleminer, thanks for your help earlier today.. I got al of my miners on except 2 machines.. 1 D3 and 1 L3+.. I did the diagnostic ping check and they come back fine. I renamed them a few times to see if they would connect but still no luck.. its been a few hours now. any suggestions?
probably been asked already but is it just me or has mining turned to shit the past few days? I’m running 3 L3+s and haven’t made over $42 the past 3 days

hehe thanks mate, yeah it seems to be a very good coin, and with it going down 25% today its very good time to buy i think the potential of this coin is huge

Same with Bitcoin I have been waiting to get about 40.00 as I lowered threshold but the pool will not pay it been sitting for a month. No response from support tickets either
