I have pointed my miner to prohashing.com:3333 yet the site says "no miner connnected". I am uncertain about password arguments. I left them blank. Is that the problem?
AppleMiner · Thu Dec 28, 2017 07:37 PM UTC · #64799
@mtcresources : what miner are you using?
AppleMiner · Thu Dec 28, 2017 07:38 PM UTC · #64801
and for the username you put the username of your prohashing.com account
mtcresources · Thu Dec 28, 2017 07:39 PM UTC · #64802
yes. I’m putting the prohashing only on the third pool down, priority 2
AppleMiner · Thu Dec 28, 2017 07:39 PM UTC · #64803
and then clicked apply and waited 90 secs and then went to the status page on the miner
AppleMiner · Thu Dec 28, 2017 07:39 PM UTC · #64805
and pools 1 and 2 are up and working
AppleMiner · Thu Dec 28, 2017 07:39 PM UTC · #64807
it goes in order, it will only hit 3 if both 1 and 2 are down
AppleMiner · Thu Dec 28, 2017 07:40 PM UTC · #64809
ok not sure what priority 2 means
sturgeon6288 · Thu Dec 28, 2017 07:40 PM UTC · #64810
just spent 2 hrs getting miners to show on live miner statous and as soon as i got my last miner showing. went straight back to 0 showing is this normal how do i know if all miners are running
mtcresources · Thu Dec 28, 2017 07:40 PM UTC · #64811
OK I see. 1 and 2 are up: that’s what I needed to know. I’m on antpool for the other two. Prioirity was listed as 0,1, and 2
AppleMiner · Thu Dec 28, 2017 07:41 PM UTC · #64812
yeah kill antpool unless you made an account
AppleMiner · Thu Dec 28, 2017 07:41 PM UTC · #64814
they get those coins, they default to their wallets not yours
AppleMiner · Thu Dec 28, 2017 07:41 PM UTC · #64815
stick some other pools in for backup/failovers
mtcresources · Thu Dec 28, 2017 07:42 PM UTC · #64816
i’m averaging .07 ltc a day. Is that about right ? Or would putting prohashing at a higher priority yield more?
AppleMiner · Thu Dec 28, 2017 07:42 PM UTC · #64817
@sturgeon6288 : there was a server reboot for a code change for live status of miners to update
AppleMiner · Thu Dec 28, 2017 07:44 PM UTC · #64818
would have to check the 1MH expected chart and put in your hashrate and compare it.
sturgeon6288 · Thu Dec 28, 2017 07:44 PM UTC · #64819
i understand that but im still showing 0
mtcresources · Thu Dec 28, 2017 07:45 PM UTC · #64821
where is the 1MH chart, (if I can ask a newbie question)
AppleMiner · Thu Dec 28, 2017 07:45 PM UTC · #64822
log off and back in and refresh?
AppleMiner · Thu Dec 28, 2017 07:45 PM UTC · #64823
on the prohashing.com page charts
mtcresources · Thu Dec 28, 2017 07:46 PM UTC · #64824
OK I’ll look. I think the Antminer S9 has 14 TH and the L3+ has 504 MH
AppleMiner · Thu Dec 28, 2017 07:48 PM UTC · #64828
back in a few need to grab some lunch
doomguard · Thu Dec 28, 2017 07:55 PM UTC · #64829
is that hashrate correct? My l3+ only get 420mh/s for the last few hours
AppleMiner · Thu Dec 28, 2017 07:56 PM UTC · #64831
there was a server restart so numbers may be off until it has a 2 hour cycle to compute on
AppleMiner · Thu Dec 28, 2017 07:56 PM UTC · #64832
it computes hashrates based on shares submitted
AppleMiner · Thu Dec 28, 2017 07:57 PM UTC · #64833
if you have lag, or crappy ping, or lots of HW errors and shares arent going in, then your hashrate on the pool is lower than what the L3+ reports
AppleMiner · Thu Dec 28, 2017 07:57 PM UTC · #64834
I could modify you a firmware that the L3+ shows your mining at 4 GH per L3+
AppleMiner · Thu Dec 28, 2017 07:57 PM UTC · #64835
but until you are submitting that many clean valid shares to the pool, the pool will show otherwise.
AppleMiner · Thu Dec 28, 2017 07:59 PM UTC · #64836
raw overclocking if the errors rise too much in comparison wont equate to greater hashrates, and can sometimes be less.
memomix · Thu Dec 28, 2017 08:23 PM UTC · #64838
I have 0.30% reject with D3 in the pool,so it's normal you think?
spauk · Thu Dec 28, 2017 08:26 PM UTC · #64839
less than 1% reject is good

why are only 5 of my 15 mienrs showing on the dash but they are connected
cashflowminer · Thu Dec 28, 2017 09:17 PM UTC · #64842
Does anyone know if the more mining machines we have connected to our ProHash account if that increases our profitability versus just having a single machine?
cashflowminer · Thu Dec 28, 2017 09:19 PM UTC · #64845
PPS....and what determines pay per share?
deathlessdd · Thu Dec 28, 2017 09:20 PM UTC · #64847
Will still equal the same for each miner
cashflowminer · Thu Dec 28, 2017 09:20 PM UTC · #64848
so more machines means more shares right?
deathlessdd · Thu Dec 28, 2017 09:20 PM UTC · #64850
But you will be making the same
cashflowminer · Thu Dec 28, 2017 09:21 PM UTC · #64851
Ok so it doesn’t matter how many machines I have, they are all essentially created equal when using this mining pool
deathlessdd · Thu Dec 28, 2017 09:21 PM UTC · #64852
I mean the same as if you had 1 miner but x25
deathlessdd · Thu Dec 28, 2017 09:21 PM UTC · #64855
If you solo mined you would make more if you hit a block
deathlessdd · Thu Dec 28, 2017 09:22 PM UTC · #64856
so if you have alot of machine you would have more of a chance to hit a block for dash
cashflowminer · Thu Dec 28, 2017 09:22 PM UTC · #64857
Ok so if I had 1000 L3+ machines...how would I go about solo mining?
deathlessdd · Thu Dec 28, 2017 09:22 PM UTC · #64858
But PPS your making exacly the same
deathlessdd · Thu Dec 28, 2017 09:23 PM UTC · #64860
you would put in the password m=solo
deathlessdd · Thu Dec 28, 2017 09:23 PM UTC · #64861
and c=which evercoin u wanna solo mine
cashflowminer · Thu Dec 28, 2017 09:24 PM UTC · #64862
Cool....so mining pool gives my investors a safe and consistent return on each machine...however if I changed the password to m=solo c=litecoin then I would be specifically mining Litecoin but my daily revenue would not be the same as I’m getting for $20/day, right and could be less, but if I get a block then I get a bigger payout, do I have that logic correct?
deathlessdd · Thu Dec 28, 2017 09:25 PM UTC · #64863
Yes if you hit a block you would make 100% more
deathlessdd · Thu Dec 28, 2017 09:25 PM UTC · #64864
but if you dont hit a block then you will loose money
deathlessdd · Thu Dec 28, 2017 09:25 PM UTC · #64865
So you will have to deal with a risk
deathlessdd · Thu Dec 28, 2017 09:25 PM UTC · #64866
But im pretty sure 1000 machines will hit blocks
cashflowminer · Thu Dec 28, 2017 09:25 PM UTC · #64867
loos money as in the operating cost of overhead, electricity, etc, is that correct?
deathlessdd · Thu Dec 28, 2017 09:26 PM UTC · #64869
Because your playing a lottery
deathlessdd · Thu Dec 28, 2017 09:26 PM UTC · #64870
It might take a month 2 months 3 month etc to hit a block
deathlessdd · Thu Dec 28, 2017 09:26 PM UTC · #64872
But if you hit a block you would make up for it
EyePeaSea · Thu Dec 28, 2017 09:26 PM UTC · #64873
I’m using c=Gulden in my password, but website is still switching to other coins such as Verge. Does this suggest there’s a problem with Gulden network?
deathlessdd · Thu Dec 28, 2017 09:27 PM UTC · #64875
or maybe they dont mine that coin
cashflowminer · Thu Dec 28, 2017 09:27 PM UTC · #64876
and as more L3+ are added to the network will that PPS go down ? and even if solo mining, the probablility of hitting block solo mining also goes down, correct?
deathlessdd · Thu Dec 28, 2017 09:28 PM UTC · #64877
Well the pool has alot of hashing power so it probably hits blocks pretty often so I dont think so
deathlessdd · Thu Dec 28, 2017 09:28 PM UTC · #64878
You make more PPS as long as the pool is hitting blocks
cashflowminer · Thu Dec 28, 2017 09:29 PM UTC · #64879
Ok so regardless of the flood of L3+ AntMiners that will get on the network as early as March 1st and as last at April 1st....means that this will not affect profitability to any significant degree?
cryptomon3ter · Thu Dec 28, 2017 09:30 PM UTC · #64880
guys please answer, is it ok when pool does not show all the miners, I have 11 connected to pool but there are only 4 shown
deathlessdd · Thu Dec 28, 2017 09:30 PM UTC · #64881
Mostly the difficulty goes up and it will be less profitable
EyePeaSea · Thu Dec 28, 2017 09:30 PM UTC · #64882
To clarify - the ’live work status’ says Verge, but the ’Worker History | Coin’ says Gulden - so maybe not a problem...

So basically high tides raises all boats wtih L3+ Scrypt mining right? As it switch to more profitable coin as any given time so that we all have more hash power together?
deathlessdd · Thu Dec 28, 2017 09:34 PM UTC · #64890
Ya the price of the coin just makes you think its more profitable, Then once the price jobs then you thinking you just lost alot of money
cashflowminer · Thu Dec 28, 2017 09:35 PM UTC · #64892
Got it so profitability depends on what currency value/amount you are viewing it from?
deathlessdd · Thu Dec 28, 2017 09:36 PM UTC · #64893
that and the difficulty the higher it gets the less profitable it will become because its harder to mine coins
cashflowminer · Thu Dec 28, 2017 09:36 PM UTC · #64894
If viewing from dollars it looks like, yes value is profitable...but viewing through a coin amount, it looks like no it is not making as much coins as I did last month.
cashflowminer · Thu Dec 28, 2017 09:37 PM UTC · #64896
the coin amount and dollar value? ....what’s combined? ...again thanks for your responses..I really appreciate it.
deathlessdd · Thu Dec 28, 2017 09:37 PM UTC · #64897
If the price of the coin goes up faster then the diff then it seems like your making more, But soon as the diff catches up or the price of the coin drops then thats what you are stuck with
