crika1 wrote: @djliss : ill sell you mine for 1050pounds inc delivery brand new (coming today via dhl) hmmm very tempting, where you sending from, can’t be doing with outside eu as i’ll have to pay import tax!!!!
djliss · Mon Dec 04, 2017 11:21 PM UTC · #53609
what is current payout on a d3, i worked it out to be about £10er a day ish
crika1 · Mon Dec 04, 2017 11:21 PM UTC · #53610
@djliss : Australia, cant send it as a “gift” its not coming from a business hence no tax?
Foxx · Mon Dec 04, 2017 11:21 PM UTC · #53611
what happened to the electricity usgae tracker?
djliss · Mon Dec 04, 2017 11:21 PM UTC · #53612
got the sparky coming this week if ya know what i mean lol
djliss · Mon Dec 04, 2017 11:22 PM UTC · #53613
hence i aint worried nabout power consumption

djliss wrote: what is current payout on a d3, i worked it out to be about £10er a day ish on average give or take as the price of dash is going up so is the $$return
djliss · Mon Dec 04, 2017 11:23 PM UTC · #53615

@djliss : i think express should come within 10days at most
djliss · Mon Dec 04, 2017 11:26 PM UTC · #53618
getting a 50A feed put in to the loft for my miners, using about 10A so far so plenty to expand!!
djliss · Mon Dec 04, 2017 11:26 PM UTC · #53619

hey guys, anybody know how many amps 1 S9 miner pulls?
AppleMiner · Tue Dec 05, 2017 12:17 AM UTC · #53624
depends, how many watts and what voltage is it on?
AppleMiner · Tue Dec 05, 2017 12:17 AM UTC · #53625
220v is half the amps as 110v
holygoof · Tue Dec 05, 2017 12:18 AM UTC · #53626
Hiya Apple, thats what i thought, right now, we got 120, but we re gonna get 220 sooner than later
AppleMiner · Tue Dec 05, 2017 12:18 AM UTC · #53628
how many watts does a S9 pull?
holygoof · Tue Dec 05, 2017 12:18 AM UTC · #53629
i was figured 1400 watts per s9, and probably 8-11 amps per
holygoof · Tue Dec 05, 2017 12:19 AM UTC · #53631
we gotta upgrade the elec on this house we own, so gonna talk about putting in 400 amp service if we can and 220 for the garage
ZiGen · Tue Dec 05, 2017 12:19 AM UTC · #53632
~6A at 220V ...like 12A @110V
holygoof · Tue Dec 05, 2017 12:20 AM UTC · #53634
thanks ZiGen, figured you guys would know personally
AppleMiner · Tue Dec 05, 2017 12:20 AM UTC · #53635
https://www.rapidtables.com/calc/electric/Watt_to_Amp_Calculator.html
AppleMiner · Tue Dec 05, 2017 12:20 AM UTC · #53638
so on a 15 amp circuit you would already be pushing it past where i would run power 24-7 on that line.
AppleMiner · Tue Dec 05, 2017 12:20 AM UTC · #53639
on 220, can cut that in half
holygoof · Tue Dec 05, 2017 12:21 AM UTC · #53640
yah ive seen you guys talk about 80% rule on here, we got some 20 amp circuits already, but these are loud machines as you guys all know
AppleMiner · Tue Dec 05, 2017 12:21 AM UTC · #53641
yeah if you have 20 amp circuits then you should be fine to run 1 on each
holygoof · Tue Dec 05, 2017 12:22 AM UTC · #53642
we got some time then, got 5 S9s coming in Jan 20 batch, so I can get the garage ready for them
AppleMiner · Tue Dec 05, 2017 12:22 AM UTC · #53643
and if you double that out by running 220, can easily run 2 on a 20 amper
Foxx · Tue Dec 05, 2017 12:22 AM UTC · #53645
80% rule is in effect for continoius usage - defined as 3 hours or more
holygoof · Tue Dec 05, 2017 12:22 AM UTC · #53646
nice, jeez voice to text killing me, i cant type for crap anymroe
AppleMiner · Tue Dec 05, 2017 12:22 AM UTC · #53647
if you could get 50 amps on 220
AppleMiner · Tue Dec 05, 2017 12:23 AM UTC · #53648
should be ok to run all 5 machines
Foxx · Tue Dec 05, 2017 12:23 AM UTC · #53649
15 amp circuit you can only run 12 amps continously
Foxx · Tue Dec 05, 2017 12:24 AM UTC · #53651
your wire gauge stipulates how many amps you can run
holygoof · Tue Dec 05, 2017 12:24 AM UTC · #53652
Appreciate it Apple, ZiGen and Foxx, you guys are a wealth of knowledge and I appreciate you sharing it with us all
holygoof · Tue Dec 05, 2017 12:24 AM UTC · #53654
gotta go make the doughnuts, back to semi lurk
AppleMiner · Tue Dec 05, 2017 12:24 AM UTC · #53655
no, the wire guage is run based on the amps of the circuits in the first place.
holygoof · Tue Dec 05, 2017 12:25 AM UTC · #53658
since we gotta upgrade electrical there anyway, we ll get more than enough gauge to handle that current 24/7
AppleMiner · Tue Dec 05, 2017 12:25 AM UTC · #53659
i hear its da tools of da debil
Foxx · Tue Dec 05, 2017 12:25 AM UTC · #53660
lol nevermind me. carry on with your bad self
Foxx · Tue Dec 05, 2017 12:26 AM UTC · #53661
20 amp circuit you can only run 16 amp - continously
AppleMiner · Tue Dec 05, 2017 12:26 AM UTC · #53662
yes, unless you are running it at 220, then the miners are only using half as much amps
AppleMiner · Tue Dec 05, 2017 12:27 AM UTC · #53664
so if 1 miner is OK on 110, 2 is fine on 220
Foxx · Tue Dec 05, 2017 12:27 AM UTC · #53667
yes you can run two s9s on 240 12 gauge wire
Foxx · Tue Dec 05, 2017 12:28 AM UTC · #53668
it doesn’t work like you are putting it appleminer
AppleMiner · Tue Dec 05, 2017 12:28 AM UTC · #53669
never commented on the gauge of the wire
Foxx · Tue Dec 05, 2017 12:28 AM UTC · #53670
and that is very dangerous to be giving out poorly worded info
AppleMiner · Tue Dec 05, 2017 12:28 AM UTC · #53671
not sure how that even got into all this.
Foxx · Tue Dec 05, 2017 12:28 AM UTC · #53672
because the gauge of the wire matters
AppleMiner · Tue Dec 05, 2017 12:28 AM UTC · #53673
i never gave out any advice
AppleMiner · Tue Dec 05, 2017 12:28 AM UTC · #53674
the question was, how many amps does the S9 run?
Foxx · Tue Dec 05, 2017 12:28 AM UTC · #53675
alright - your a dick
AppleMiner · Tue Dec 05, 2017 12:29 AM UTC · #53676
I said if its 110 its 13.5 if its 220 then its half that.
Foxx · Tue Dec 05, 2017 12:29 AM UTC · #53677
it runs watts not amp
AppleMiner · Tue Dec 05, 2017 12:29 AM UTC · #53678
the watts are standard and doesnt change thats 1400
Foxx · Tue Dec 05, 2017 12:29 AM UTC · #53679
it doesn’t run amperage - you get that, right?
fallingcurtain · Tue Dec 05, 2017 12:30 AM UTC · #53683
L3+ is suddenly available again at bitmain.
AppleMiner · Tue Dec 05, 2017 12:30 AM UTC · #53684
i was asked how many amps I gave the best info I had
Foxx · Tue Dec 05, 2017 12:30 AM UTC · #53685
okay im out be careful listening to this guy
AppleMiner · Tue Dec 05, 2017 12:30 AM UTC · #53687
sorry im not an electrician if you are and are licensced then tell them what they need to know and we will sit back and let an expert handle it
AppleMiner · Tue Dec 05, 2017 12:30 AM UTC · #53688
/wave foxx you will be missed.
AppleMiner · Tue Dec 05, 2017 12:31 AM UTC · #53689
sorry the deep onion spam coins didnt work out for you.
fallingcurtain · Tue Dec 05, 2017 12:32 AM UTC · #53690
Deeponion...Name should say it all
jess_1 · Tue Dec 05, 2017 12:32 AM UTC · #53691
wire ga is most important on the dc side.... your psu has to work harder to make it through those cheapo wires to the miner, and the lower the voltage the lower your oc potential... go with 14ga pcie wires if you can get them, solid copper
fallingcurtain · Tue Dec 05, 2017 12:33 AM UTC · #53692
Im over $20 today. Collecting Emc2 and Canada coin crap
AppleMiner · Tue Dec 05, 2017 12:33 AM UTC · #53693
I just hired an electrician because I know I dont know what Im doing, he did, thats why I paid him to do it.
AppleMiner · Tue Dec 05, 2017 12:34 AM UTC · #53694
but even i can plug numbers into a forumla i have bookmarked on a website and find out how many amps a device uses
