yea i bought my 3rd miner for mid September delivery for 40 LTC when LTC was like $48 USD, that one smarts a little but im still glad i’ll have more hashing power next month. others were for 1 BTC when BTC was like 1300ish

Or at least that is the correlation you would see if you looked at price of a coin or token over time, and compare to the bars, the longer a trend is sustained, the more bars of that color will appear

It will never be foolproof of course, and if I would see 4 green bars for instance and had not already sold, I’d probably be selling, expecting that the price rise is ready any time for a downturn

3 or 4 bars there is no hard and fast rule, it was more of an example, but yea its about what are called inflection points in calculus

@Raab - just think of it as trying to judge when the price rise is just about completed, so you can sell and take your profits, and trying to judge when the dropping prices have just about hit bottom, so you can buy again at a bargain - the bars provide a good visual aid for that

If you say it’s true, I’ll be more encouraged then - I do see a lot of non-technical emotional driven movement in there too, and pronounced by the relatively small size of the market, but I’m sure there are underlying patterns that lend themselves to analysis

@dc101 : most of the time when i keep only a few coins like btc, ltc, dash... when i buy a coin to trade i watch it like a hawk and rarely go to sleep holding it.
