If you send a transaction through to your wallet, once you see the transaction received but waiting for confirmations....can it be recalled or is that guaranteed?

to be safe from orphaned blocks (and transaction being invalid) you should wait for a few confirmations. For 3 confirmations to still be invalid in the end the "wrong" blockchain in which your transaction got processed there would have to be 4 orphaned blocks in a row

there are many currencies with 1or2 second blocktimes. However i personally would not use them for transferring my money right now. My goto choice is Litecoin. For the real world issue: Lightning Network for LTC and BTC is coming. Instant transaction would be possible for small real world buys/sells

I see people discussing transaction times and comparing to Visa/Mastercard. Just be aware that both of those payments systems use risk based models to authorise transactions: i.e., they don’t check that you have funds available, AND they clear and settle them hours, perhaps days for cross border payments, after they happen.

With blockchain based tech, there’s no risk, and it’s cleared and settled immediately (that being a relative term based on confirmation times per blockchain). There’s really no fair comparison. Each member bank also has a risk position (collateral) held by the payment network which allows the risk algos to step in an authorise transactions without checking the issuer to see if the account holder has funds. Totally different model. )

@nimbus atm my BTC payout is overdue. So happens sometimes, it will likely be payed out soon, the post you made on the forum will most likely bring attention to it and if ur over the threshold as stated (try put threshold so u dont get fee) it will get correction and manually payed. no need to to panic.
