Order. On NiceHash you setup orders for hashing power, on that day I had 2 orders running, one on the US and one on Europe servers, had to cancel them to avoid more losses.
tmopar · Fri Jun 09, 2017 03:05 PM UTC · #4971
guys bravo bravo... lovin the earnings today... already hit my daily average for the troubled times during the update
tmopar · Fri Jun 09, 2017 03:06 PM UTC · #4972
should make double today
tmopar · Fri Jun 09, 2017 03:07 PM UTC · #4973
frisk, sorry to hear you are having problems... If it helps you, i am running a diff of between 1024 and 4096 on most of my pieces... no other args
mjgraham · Fri Jun 09, 2017 03:27 PM UTC · #4975
I hope it will be in the future possible to get the data delay down during the good times, I don’t like knowing that if has started mining 2 min in the past I would have been doing good
n00bminer · Fri Jun 09, 2017 03:42 PM UTC · #4976
tmopar, I think Chris threw in some extra as a nice gesture for the downtime
tmopar · Fri Jun 09, 2017 03:46 PM UTC · #4978
LTC network capacity is down 20%... are they...... hitting prohashing?
FRISKIE · Fri Jun 09, 2017 03:47 PM UTC · #4979
Anyone mining X11 with NiceHash?
fattygrub · Fri Jun 09, 2017 03:47 PM UTC · #4980
why aren’t prohashing reps online here telling us what’s goin on?
tmopar · Fri Jun 09, 2017 03:54 PM UTC · #4982
@stevesokolowski ITs doing the thing again where when you try to mine solo, it attempts to connect you instead to the litecoin network
tmopar · Fri Jun 09, 2017 03:56 PM UTC · #4983
@stevesokolowski sorry, I had made a small typo, false alarm
n00bminer · Fri Jun 09, 2017 05:09 PM UTC · #4985
I have more trouble with the ETH wallet than any other wallet ever since 2013
n00bminer · Fri Jun 09, 2017 05:15 PM UTC · #4986
tmopar, I think you are right, that is a huge drop of LTC network capacity
tmopar · Fri Jun 09, 2017 05:32 PM UTC · #4988
@stevesokolowski , @chrissokolowski Ok, unfortunately this is not a typo... I tried to mine some argus coin solo... I did so for about an hour or two. Then I set that same worker to mine just normal pps..... It was remembering the solo mining and every time the unit connected it would say in the earnings page it was solo mining still, the worker was stalled precisely in the way it was before ( about a minute before shares flow) and it is on the LTC network (can tell by the difficulty).... It has started to produce shares now after about 90 seconds... I will keep you posted as to performance
FRISKIE · Fri Jun 09, 2017 05:37 PM UTC · #4989
@ Chris & Steve - my report is a positive one - Nicehash mining for a few hours now over Scrypt with great performance!
Sunegg · Fri Jun 09, 2017 06:11 PM UTC · #4990
What parameters are you using @ FRISKIE ?
mickeekung · Fri Jun 09, 2017 06:13 PM UTC · #4991

What is the best "d=xxx" setting for Gridseed Blades mining on Prohashing?
gekkeleo · Fri Jun 09, 2017 06:26 PM UTC · #4994
more people having connection problems
tmopar · Fri Jun 09, 2017 06:28 PM UTC · #4995
ok update.... so after that initial period the worker has continued with a hash rate reported at the miner at ~70mh it should do about 75, but it was looking like 50 something when i had originally typed earlier. I think its had enough time to where the time dialiation has overcame that dead period
tmopar · Fri Jun 09, 2017 06:30 PM UTC · #4996
denise, the gridseed blades are around 2~5 mh... you would need to set the minimum difficulty. Otherwise you may go several coin changes without a share. I suggest d=768 or d=1024 but its still high for that low a rate
n00bminer · Fri Jun 09, 2017 06:30 PM UTC · #4997
for gridseeds at the present time : d=1024 is your only option
tmopar · Fri Jun 09, 2017 06:31 PM UTC · #4998
is 1024 the new minimum?
n00bminer · Fri Jun 09, 2017 06:31 PM UTC · #4999
512 is best, 768 is a close 2nd, but those are unavailable right now
tmopar · Fri Jun 09, 2017 06:31 PM UTC · #5001
i know steve said he raised it, i figured it was 768
tmopar · Fri Jun 09, 2017 06:32 PM UTC · #5004
no problem, this forum is actually really helpful most times
n00bminer · Fri Jun 09, 2017 06:32 PM UTC · #5005
profit wise, it has not been bad at 1024, just not as good as 512/768 for the gridseeds, I have 4 working (1 dead ) lol
tmopar · Fri Jun 09, 2017 06:32 PM UTC · #5006
you talkin the little orbs or the blades
tmopar · Fri Jun 09, 2017 06:32 PM UTC · #5007
shes got the blades that only do LTC etc
n00bminer · Fri Jun 09, 2017 06:33 PM UTC · #5008
blades, been running since 2014 when it was a big deal =) came here after clever died
GregoryGHarding · Fri Jun 09, 2017 06:34 PM UTC · #5009
hows everyones profitibility looking today
tmopar · Fri Jun 09, 2017 06:36 PM UTC · #5011
im up quite a bit but i think they dumped some money in the accounts this morning... im on pace to make about double the usual
denise0848 · Fri Jun 09, 2017 06:37 PM UTC · #5013
I came to Prohashing when Clevermining shut down. Always suspected their new owner was skimming off of the top.
n00bminer · Fri Jun 09, 2017 06:38 PM UTC · #5015
in a milk crate, in the computer room at work lol
GregoryGHarding · Fri Jun 09, 2017 06:38 PM UTC · #5016
interesting in parting ways with one. its difficult to find a working one for a decent price
tmopar · Fri Jun 09, 2017 06:38 PM UTC · #5017
i came to the game late... was clevermining a precursor to prohashing
n00bminer · Fri Jun 09, 2017 06:39 PM UTC · #5019
yea they are sooo over priced every where. in august when my L3+’s come in, I will sell these off
n00bminer · Fri Jun 09, 2017 06:40 PM UTC · #5020
of course when I bought these they were 1.5K a piece
tmopar · Fri Jun 09, 2017 06:41 PM UTC · #5024
ebay right now goin for 75 plus shipping, i recently bought about 150 orbs myself i got a fairly good deal on them but had to travel... gonna put some up ebay
n00bminer · Fri Jun 09, 2017 06:42 PM UTC · #5026
I hope in August I can dump them for that, heck yea
GregoryGHarding · Fri Jun 09, 2017 06:42 PM UTC · #5027
i wanna look at getting the best i can for no more than 100USD because canadian currency conversion is a bitch
n00bminer · Fri Jun 09, 2017 06:42 PM UTC · #5028
I have 5 of the small seeds idle, they are just too much trouble, eat too much power
GregoryGHarding · Fri Jun 09, 2017 06:42 PM UTC · #5029
if you plan on selling them for less, im there. just keep me in mind or shoot me a pm
tmopar · Fri Jun 09, 2017 06:42 PM UTC · #5030
I bought them for the resale really... i got a lot of raspis from the same person
tmopar · Fri Jun 09, 2017 06:43 PM UTC · #5032
nice stuff, i think someone died or something
tmopar · Fri Jun 09, 2017 06:43 PM UTC · #5033
I got a laptop actually running 10 right now
tmopar · Fri Jun 09, 2017 06:43 PM UTC · #5038
raspis have problems with hubs that even bullshit 50 dollar laptops dont have
GregoryGHarding · Fri Jun 09, 2017 06:44 PM UTC · #5040
i heard anker hubs work well with rpi
n00bminer · Fri Jun 09, 2017 06:44 PM UTC · #5041
Yea I have mine running 5 blades (10 USB) on a single raspi, the orbs using the same type of usb hub only could do 5 per
tmopar · Fri Jun 09, 2017 06:45 PM UTC · #5042
quality hub will change everything... a word to the wise, dont bother getting USB3 hubs... the raspi just dont like them.. even the new raspi 3
GregoryGHarding · Fri Jun 09, 2017 06:45 PM UTC · #5043
anyway i got to take off now. n00b keep me in mind for when you sell em
n00bminer · Fri Jun 09, 2017 06:45 PM UTC · #5044
I bought an A2 110 terminator off ebay not long ago for 650, that’s a better deal than buying blades
tmopar · Fri Jun 09, 2017 06:46 PM UTC · #5046
i did the same... you cannot find a deal like that anymore
tmopar · Fri Jun 09, 2017 06:46 PM UTC · #5048
even the bullshit miners are 400 dollars.. i seen a warmachine go for that
n00bminer · Fri Jun 09, 2017 06:46 PM UTC · #5050
lol thats funny. I need it to stay up like this until 2018
tmopar · Fri Jun 09, 2017 06:46 PM UTC · #5052
its funny ou say that, i thought i would be out by now too
tmopar · Fri Jun 09, 2017 06:47 PM UTC · #5053
i bought early april... but now hell i might stay in through winter, get that free heat
n00bminer · Fri Jun 09, 2017 06:47 PM UTC · #5054
the heat is pretty good in the winter lol
tmopar · Fri Jun 09, 2017 06:48 PM UTC · #5055
oh yeah, right now i got windows open in two rooms of the house and sealed off as best i can, fans blowing out shirts under the doors
tmopar · Fri Jun 09, 2017 06:48 PM UTC · #5056
i can keep it 75 in here and 95 in the miner rooms
tmopar · Fri Jun 09, 2017 06:49 PM UTC · #5057
btw, there are some killer remote temperature monitors on ebay that were designed for pools and stuff but work in open air, like 16 dollars i highly recommend it, got 3 channels
n00bminer · Fri Jun 09, 2017 06:49 PM UTC · #5058
That’s why I brought mine in to work, placed in the computer room.
n00bminer · Fri Jun 09, 2017 06:49 PM UTC · #5059
I had my gpu miners in there for a while in my old cube lol.
tmopar · Fri Jun 09, 2017 06:53 PM UTC · #5060
the noise tho... how’d you mask that in a cubical?
n00bminer · Fri Jun 09, 2017 06:53 PM UTC · #5061
I like the A2, I tried to modify the cfminer launching to run screen, so I could actually watch the miner, but it does’t like to launch with screen....Most likely an issue with my syntax
tmopar · Fri Jun 09, 2017 06:54 PM UTC · #5063
its redirecting the pipe to get all those stats
n00bminer · Fri Jun 09, 2017 06:54 PM UTC · #5064
ahh it is a un occupied computer room. The new sysadmin sits up remotely now
tmopar · Fri Jun 09, 2017 06:54 PM UTC · #5065
if the web works the console wont and vice versa i think
n00bminer · Fri Jun 09, 2017 06:55 PM UTC · #5066
Thanks! I didn’t want the non-mining time to figure it out lol
n00bminer · Fri Jun 09, 2017 06:56 PM UTC · #5067
I had to modify the page for authentication though lol it’s on my network, didn’t want the prying nerds to wonder whats this IP
tmopar · Fri Jun 09, 2017 07:07 PM UTC · #5068
if you are worried about wayward connections, just rename the script to some very long string... its low tech, quick and will provide some protection
tmopar · Fri Jun 09, 2017 07:08 PM UTC · #5069
they would then have to analyize the packets and be able to get in the middle
