I don’t know. Chris will investigate and get back to you in a few hours. Sorry about this.

Chris paid Litecoin payments at noon yesterday. There is a post in the "support and feedback" forum explaining the problem.

dronKZ · · #80

each day to write in support payments?

Steve Sokolowski · · #81

dronKZ wrote: each day to write in support payments?
I apologize, but I’m not sure what you mean here. If you’re saying that you haven’t received a payout today yet, that might be true, as we only guarantee payouts to occur the next day, not at a specific time that day. The time at which payouts occur during the day is dependent upon the speed at which exchanges process withdrawals. If that's not what you meant, let me know and I'll try to help.

today there is no payment again

excelerator · · #83

the site is down

Chris Sokolowski · · #84

Thanks for the info. Just the website went offline; the mining server was fine. I restarted the web server. Apparently there were too many concurrent users and it couldn’t get enough database connections, so I added more connections. Our web server isn’t near overloaded, but we needed to set some sort of connection limit because we don’t know how much it can handle.

What is the deal with CarpeDiemCoin?

CritterDog · · #87

Why so many people mining it?

Steve Sokolowski · · #89

CritterDog wrote: Why so many people mining it?
There is a huge discrepency between prices at different exchanges - almost $50. We only paid a few dollars to buy it at the cheapest exchange, but the people who selected to earn it can now sell at the other exchange, which is why it’s listed as being so valuable.

CritterDog · · #90

oh wow ok thanks Steve that really had me baffled

CritterDog · · #91

Just a idea like to see what others think.. It would be nice to put the tweet updates on the earnings page instead of settings page.. And move the Notification events to the settings page.. What do you think?

Chris Sokolowski · · #92

I’ve talked with Steve in the past about the tweets, and we agreed that we want them on both the charts and earnings pages. The earnings page gets more hits than the charts page, so it would improve visibility of pool-wide announcements. I just haven’t gotten around to making the website change. What’s your reasoning for putting notification events on the settings page? The earnings page is designed to be a miner’s dashboard, and you should only need to go to the settings page if you want to change something. Having a view-only item like the notification events would violate this concept, but if there's a good reason I'm willing to consider the change.

CritterDog · · #95

Sounds good I agree earnings page is better for tweet updates I think your right after thinking about it notifications are better on earnings. But is there a way we can re-set the notifications maybe or have the option to turn it off? I have a bunch that I would like to be able to clear that are old. Thanks

Chris Sokolowski · · #97

I will look into resetting notifications. I didn’t realize it could be a problem.

CritterDog · · #98

Hi Chris Not a Priority.. Just would be a nice option to be able to collapse the window or turn them off

CritterDog · · #99

Like it shows me 10 notifications about my hash rate but they are from last May and no way to clear them

john1175 · · #100

this is EXTREMELY aggrevating

john1175 · · #101

trying to change my bitcoin address WHEN i hit save a big red bitchbox appears saying a fatal exception has occured and it won’t update

john1175 · · #102

it won’t let me change and save any coin addresses

Chris Sokolowski · · #103

Looking into this right now

Chris Sokolowski · · #104

This is an issue of the Bitcoin daemon being very slow to respond. We validate every wallet address before we save it to the site, and if the validation times out, you get that error. I will look into trying to handle the error more cleanly on the website. In the long term, we are aware that the server hosting some of our payout coins (including Bitcoin) is very slow, and we are going to upgrade it in a few weeks.

john1175 · · #105

You do run a great pool and you offer a great service Chris

john1175 · · #106

Chris

john1175 · · #107

if we were to post coin addresses here or email them to you with our account info can you change them from your end?

Chris Sokolowski · · #108

I can do it for you - send me your username and addresses to chris@prohashing.com

Thanks for the report. Chris will look into this. Is your username on the site the same as on the forums?

john1175 · · #116

yes it converts it but doesn’t update the bitcoin amount according to market price, and it doesn’t pay out even tho I have the payout currency set to btc and the address up to date

john1175 · · #117

I’m surprised at the level of care you 2 take on your pool, most admins set the pool up and never visit it again lol

john1175 · · #118

john1175 is my username so yes it’s the same

john1175 · · #119

judging by the amount of owed btc I’m getting the impression others are having the issue aswell

I was wondering why the forfeit button is not active on bitcoin? Was going to forfeit 2 cents but button greyed out

Steve Sokolowski · · #123

CritterDog wrote: I was wondering why the forfeit button is not active on bitcoin? Was going to forfeit 2 cents but button greyed out
Bitcoin is the "coin of last resort" that we pay people in if all their payout coins are offline, and forfeiture removes a payout address. However, I will add the suggestion of being able to forfeit without deleting a payout address to the buglist - thanks for the suggestion!

argentum · · #128

Steve Sokolowski · · #139

when Chris gets home, he will get on it

Steve Sokolowski · · #140

it should be done within two hours

Steve Sokolowski · · #141

thanks for pointing that out

argentum · · #142

No problem. I caught it pretty quickly last night, but it takes a bit to get everyone to upgrade since people have lives :)

john1175 · · #143

what is argentum trading for in btc?

argentum · · #144

steady between 200-300 satoshi

Chris Sokolowski · · #145

I’m compiling Argentum right now. I’ll let you know when its online. Should be a few minutes.

argentum · · #146

argentum · · #147

argentum · · #148

Okay - up to date - Argentum is now on version 2040100

argentum · · #150

thanks

argentum · · #151

any chance I could get your logs for Argentum?

Chris Sokolowski · · #152

how old would you need?

Chris Sokolowski · · #153

I just checked and the log is only for the past 3 hours

argentum · · #154

anything lol

Chris Sokolowski · · #155

give me a few minutes - will send you a PM

argentum · · #156

looks like I had some blocks relayed by 144.76.71.141 that "reorganized" the blockchain

argentum · · #157

it’s a 2.4 clients, so i’ts probably relaying something from an incompatible miner

argentum · · #158

*client

Chris Sokolowski · · #159

sent the log

Update us when BTC payments for yesterday are sent?

Steve Sokolowski · · #164

excelerator wrote: Update us when BTC payments for yesterday are sent?
These payments are delayed for a little while because Chris is turning our Bitcoin node into a pruned node to cut costs and save disk space. It shouldn’t be long before the node is back online.

it’s been days and days and days, the pool hasn’t converted my coins to my payout coin, bitcoin and it hasn’t paid out, I won’t be wasting anymore juice on this pool until my 0.02 worth of coin is paid out.

john1175 · · #172

they don’t pay, argentum, period, I’ve been waiting for days, I’ll likely get some excuse like I don’t have enough coins or something to that effect. and there’s no manual withdraw button.

Steve Sokolowski · · #173

john1175 wrote: they don’t pay, argentum, period, I’ve been waiting for days, I’ll likely get some excuse like I don’t have enough coins or something to that effect. and there’s no manual withdraw button.
I encourage you to take a look at the documentation about the payout timing when you have a minute. Chris will contact you by private message when he wakes up to fix this specific bug or to resolve the misunderstanding.

john1175 · · #174

it says each day at 12 AM, it’s been more than a week..

excelerator · · #175

Looks like the database upgrade started about 2:00pm PDT as the site is now down

excelerator · · #176

Everything failed over nicely so see you in 12 hours!

john1175 · · #177

argentum, what is the btc value of your coin?

john1175 · · #178

Chris sorry if I sounded insulting, it’s just the mining pool payouts is how I was renting miners to mine the pool
