a= and c= settings not working properly

hello everyone 
I'm the halloween coin dev and i'm trying to crack a stuck block with a rental from mining rig rentals.
the setup seems to work ok, in that it is plugging away at halloween coin, but i also notice that it is trying to mine Florincoin which is should not be doing for 2 reasons:
1 - the algo is set to x11 and florincoin is scrypt
2 - the c=halloweencoin so it should stay on that only as far as i know
please let me know if i misread something
