Re: Mini-Doge connection issues to ProHashing
This issue has been resolved. We don't know what the cause of the issue is. Something with the Linux kernel kept the ports used for that one mining server open, and when the server was restarted, nothing could connect to those ports. Chris didn't want to restart the server, which has been online for...

Re: Mini-Doge connection issues to ProHashing
After some investigation, I think that there may be some sort of network connectivity issue, because we determined that the EU server is accessible to many of the customers but that the US location is not. The timing to the fix of the SHA-256 rejected shares issue is just coincidental. Chris is inve...

Re: Mini-Doge connection issues to ProHashing
After a week (maybe two) of running my Goldshell mini-doge I woke this morning, and it will no longer connect to the Prohashing pool... it's connecting fine to the litecoin pool and hashing away. I have tried the following: - Rebooted the box, - Made sure the Prohashing entry was the primary pool (...

Release issued to reduce rejected shares
We are pleased to announce that Chris just released a new version of the mining servers that significantly reduced the number of rejected shares for the ethash algorithm, and also reduced rejected shares due to WAMP disconnects across all algorithms. The changes are available immediately and you sho...

Re: Investigating hashrate issue
Thanks, GenTarkin! I checked in a fix for most of most of these rejected shares, which are caused by a failsafe that won't accept shares when the duplicates checker is disconnected from WAMP. However, because the improvement will be 1% or less, we're going to hold off on a restart until tomorrow, wh...

Re: Investigating hashrate issue
After some investigation, I determined that these errors are being caused by the mining servers disconnecting from WAMP.
I'll look into these problems and hope to have a fix by tomorrow.

Re: Investigating hashrate issue
I'll take a look and get back to you shortly. What timezone are these logs in, so I can investigate the problem?

Re: Investigating hashrate issue
I think the latest change may have fixed the problem. Mining for 17mins now w/o rejects .. will keep an eye on it and inform if regresses Great - I think so too, because I was able to reproduce the issue finally in the development environment, and then I was able to confirm that it didn't happen af...

Re: Investigating hashrate issue
This release has just been issued, and we believe the problem has been resolved, because we identified a specific line that could have caused it.
Let me know if that's not the case.

Re: Investigating hashrate issue
Chris will be restarting the mining servers over the next hour to try to get this set of changes out.
