Re: Higher Diff improves share rejections

How did it alter the profits? Did it raise or lower them compared to one you didn't alter?

No stales but recording less than half as many shares would still be less profits.
Was the stale count the only thing that changed when you added the d= setting?

Re: DASH coins transferred to my wallet event if they where below the custom threshold

The owners once gave the reasoning if they aren't hording as much money on the site, it becomes less of a target than other more liquid sites to be hacked. Sort of like the safety deposit box at 7-11 where they only have $20 in the cash register at night time.

That's not how mining is, though. It's true that your miners will be earning less and less, but the total number of miners generally increases. The same amount of money is simply being distributed among different people, or among more people. Yes, except since the value of the coins isn't increasing...

Re: Botting

No, please, if I am in error I'd like to know why exactly.
Please, go into details and explain. I'd enjoy reading other people's point of views and how they interpret it.

Re: Status as of Tuesday, October 10, 2017

Good morning! I'd say that a more reasonable estimate for an announcement now is early December, with implementation in January and results starting to appear in March. Let's all hope we can still afford to keep the miners on and running past January. By the time the March results start to appear, ...

Re: Botting

How do you know he is not solo mining. I don't know if he(guessing gestalt) is solo or static pool mining I never said he was one way or the other, he might be, wouldnt matter. They have NO way to stop a solo miner on here from doing anything. They CAN and now are limiting how much POOL STATIC hash...

Re: Below median earnings

Should be after, reportedly that's the average of what they paid out to the autopool people. I just wonder if that average is made up of all the NON-SOLO miners which would include the static pool miners with the auto switch miners. But they say its the average of JUST the autopool switching people....

Re: Botting

I dont see how the botters mining the most profitable coins on the coin status list lowers the profits of the pool. The pool isn't typically assigned to ever mine those high value coins, so if all they are ever going to do is sit there and never get touched they could never raise or lower the profit...

Re: Botting

I'm pretty sure you only share in the share of the found blocks on the coin you are working on. If you are assigned a lesser value coin than me, I am making more than you for the time we are assigned to those coins. Ideally everyone in the pool would have all the money from all the coins put into a ...
