Re: Company meeting on July 3 and 4

I remind you to add the original Cryptonight algorithm. We are talking about it for a year. Now and the price of Bitcoin is high and the coins on this algorithm are many different which means it's about time. I appreciate the feedback - but as we pointed out before, this algorithm is extremely tech...

Company meeting on July 3 and 4

As has been mentioned in the forums recently, we'll be holding a company-wide meeting on July 3 and 4. Everyone will be traveling to State College to revisit our future plans, which had been created when it appeared that prices would remain low for a long period of time. The main purpose of this mee...

Bitcoin mining re-enabled

Bitcoin mining has been re-enabled, increasing SHA-256 profitability. We have accumulated a large enough reserve, after having not found any blocks for a long time. Hopefully, this time we will find a bitcoin block before the money runs out, and we'll be able to keep bitcoin mining enabled for good.

Re: One more bubble

Steve, Thank you for posting such an interesting post on the future (and the future of cryptocurrency) as you see it. Like the previous reply, I am 50+ and have observed that while we have difficultly predicting what the future will be like, we also have difficulty predicting the response humanity ...

One more bubble

I don't trade cryptocurrencies or stocks based upon daily highs or lows. It seems to me that a lot of people get caught up in short term market movements and have never stopped to look at the big picture. Few people ever think about the base assumptions that they are being fed by society. For exampl...

Re: Immature Blocks not credited yet?

Steve, The blocks are starting to be credited now. Thanks for your help. That's great to hear. 78 confirmations, for most coins, is not enough. The typical coin requires about 200, while some coins with long block times can require only 100. I'm not aware of any coins that require fewer confirmatio...

Status as of Monday, June 24, 2019

Good morning! ⋅  We now have a positive reserve of about $300,000, so we plan to re-enable bitcoin mining within 2 or 3 days. That should increase SHA-256 profitability by about 1%. ⋅  I'll be posting a forum post tomorrow or Wednesday asking for suggestions about what new featur...

Re: Immature Blocks not credited yet?

I am mining BitcoinV and the block explorer show the blocks are confirmed. ProHashing is still showing immature after hours? Why is this happening? Most coins take a long time to mature. For bitcoin, for example, the maturity time is 100 blocks, which is about one day. Some coins can take as long a...
