I have not merge mined Doge and LTC at the same time and cannot find how to setup a L3 for mining both at same time.
Do you have to mine with a specific command added to the password line?
Merged mime Doge and LTC

Re: Merged mime Doge and LTC
If you want to set litecoins as your primary mining coin, use the password argument "c=litecoin." Dogecoins are merge-mined automatically by all scrypt miners.
Keep in mind that mining litecoins as your primary coin, as with primary mining any single coin, will always yield lower profitability than using Proswitching mining, because you will be forcing your miners to select coins that are not the most profitable. If you use Proswitching mining, you can set your payout proportions to approximate the proportions of the litecoin and dogecoin blocks you would earn by mining them directly, and you'll end up with more of each type of coin.

No, it is not possible to mine only dogecoins because doing so would cause wasted money. You can get more money for free by mining a different primary coin and merge-mining dogecoins at the same time.
The full description of how merge-mining works is out of the scope of this discussion, but there are many comprehensive articles about the topic, and a Google search will help you understand how merge-mining works.
