Dual PoW-PoS Coins

Post by CyberBeast135 » Thu Aug 01, 2019 3:47 pm

PoW & PoS Coins - You can mine them, then use them in a Masternode - Zcoin and SPDR as example. Can prohashing add some of these?

The pool already has lots of hybrid POW/POS coins available for mining. The reason we don't have Zcoin and SPDR is because they each use mining algorithms unique to themselves. We would need to code these algorithms into the pool, which takes a lot of work, and many times the algorithm is not well documented so we struggle to implement it. Also, Zcoin has shown that it has a history of switching algorithms, and whenever that happens, all our previous work is invalidated and we need to start over from the beginning. In our opinion, the amount of business gained from adding these two coins for mining is not worth the effort.

However, If you just want to mine another algorithm and get paid in those coins though, that is a lot easier and should be possible. They would just need to be traded at one of the exchanges we support.

Chris, Can you provide a list of the dual PoW/PoS coins. There does not appear to be one good source to find out this information.
