ASIC Boost Support for SHA-256

Post by bluethundr » Tue Mar 20, 2018 11:27 am

Hey guys,

I just read that Slush Pool has added support for ASIC Boost on the SHA-256 algo. Will you be doing the same?

Thanks

I beleive ASIC boost is a way to spoof your hashrate if memory serves me correctly. Why would anyone condone that behavior on a PPS pool?

Is there any documentation about what this is?

I thought that it was a hardware feature that caused the hashrate of the miners to increase, and therefore it has nothing to do with the pool itself.

I have some DragonMint T1 arriving soon and I'd really like to use your pool to mine. Can you confirm ProHashing Sha256 pool is ASICBoost enabled/compatible? I've read in forums and seen online reviews where non ASICBoost pools such as bitmain won't hash or the miner gets connection error.

Do not believe boost is enabled here.

None of these articles provides the technical specifications of what the pool needs to do to support ASICBOOST. Where can we find those?
