Brief restart(s) coming this afternoon

Post by Steve Sokolowski » Sun Dec 10, 2017 2:28 pm

I'm going to do a brief restart on one of the mining servers to test a proposed fix for the memory leaks. Unfortunately, there isn't any better way to try to solve this problem other than to release the one-line change and monitor it. It only happens with the number of coins and miners being used on the production servers. The restarts may result in a two-minute outage for about 1/4 of miners.

I think that we got the problem, and Chris is going to restart all the servers tonight with the fix. We'll see what happens overnight.

More restarts will occur today, as we continue to investigate the memory leaks.
