Dropping scrypt rewards

Post by mousehouse » Mon Nov 13, 2017 11:15 am

Hello all,

Anybody else experience significant drops in payouts from Prohashing the last weeks or so? I used to be at 0.3-0.4LTC per L3+ daily but that has all gone to shit today (and a few days ago as well), I'm at 0.06 now per L3+ for the last 12 hours, wtf?

Yeah, I'm done to almost 2/3 the normal amount I was earning 3-4 days ago.

The amount of coins you have earned has not changed, but the value of those coins can throughout the day.
If you mine 10 LTCs there is a bit of a payout difference at the end of the day when they are worth $50 per coin vs when they are $65 per coin.

Still doesnt explain the ten bucks difference. 19 to 9 bucks is a MASSIVE drop

There was downtime today.
I'm computing I went from 17.50 yesterday to 17.00 today.
Based on the amount of time I was on this pool, sorry not seeing the 10$ difference you are speaking of.
Maybe check to see if you dropped or were on another pool for part of the time?

Good catch, Apple Miner I hadn't considered the fall back pool. I'll double check.

Checked all of those but my payouts are significantly less. Last week I was getting constant 0.3+ per miner, today I'm getting 0.35 combined, with 0.1 through litecoinpool. The value of LTC was 45 and it has gone up to 50, but even then I cannot account for the difference.

Has global profitability of scrypt mining finally taken a plunge, or is something else going on? litecoinpool calculator still predicts 0,25 LTC per day per miner, seems profitable to switch to them...
