Release to occur this afternoon

Post by Steve Sokolowski » Sun Oct 01, 2017 12:55 pm

We promised a release last night, but were unable to execute it because when we were restoring from backup onto a new array of larger disks, we had copied the Subversion repository first and then accidentally overwrote it later in the day. We had to restore it again and then check in the code this morning.

Since we had extra time, I also added in the change to add the worker name error on the existing worker, as described in the other thread. The release will now occur this afternoon.

No, there is no new exchanges in this update. Livecoin.net won't be available for several weeks, because it is only worked on when all the support tickets are answered, and there are still many tickets outstanding.

what about exchanges removed from PH because of refusal to support BCH, will those be returning out of profitability concerns, recent adoption of BCH, or still no support

This issue was resolved a long time ago. We removed exchanges during the fork period because if we had kept bitcoins in them during that period, we wouldn't have gotten any BCH, and therefore suffered huge losses. Poloniex was one of those.

This release has now been issued. There is one lingering issue with "live coin status" on the website that I'm going to work on over the next hour, but the remainder of the system is back to normal.

Great! If you want one or all of these fixed, please submit a ticket and Chris will look into it in the course of resolving the day's tickets.
