This change was reverted and the original difficulty of 2048 is now available again. However, we lowered the maximum number of shares per second from 5 to 1.GregoryGHarding wrote:minimum static diff is 16384

That allows slow miners who need the minimum difficulty to use it, while also preventing fast miners from using more than their fair share of resources.
