Discussion of development releases of Prohashing / Requests for features
Forum rules
The Development forum is for discussion of development releases of Prohashing and for feedback on the site, requests for features, etc.

While we can't promise we will be able to implement every feature request, we will give them each due consideration and do our best with the resources and staffing we have available.

Good morning. Here's today's status:
  • I haven't provided a status update in a while. At first, the delay was because Chris was in Canada, but then I wanted to devote as much time as possible to the incoming series of performance improvements. The reason for the focus on performance is because we plan to embark on a large advertising push, and to move towards supporting multiple algorithms. While Chris performs the testing, I'll be advertising, and then I will be working on support for other algorithms. The first algorithms will probably be Ethereum and SHA-256.
  • The improvements are now implemented and were sent to Chris for testing. Previously, we were able to handle about 400 simultaneous with no problems; now, we expect to handle about 3000, with the capacity to easily expand to 4000 if we needed to spend $500. We were able to support half the litecoin network on the mining server in testing.
  • While I've been doing that, Chris has been focusing on stability improvements. While the mining server is pretty stable because we that's where we spent a lot of our time, we haven't put much attention to the less important website. Chris made some fixes to the site and wrote a program that will send him text messages when parts of the system go offline so that he can fix them before customers notice them.
