Good morning!
  • Yesterday, while working on fixing a bug that had been introduced to ethash mining, I discovered why some ethash miners were incompatible with the pool. It turns out that some miners submit nonces of found shares with "0x" prepended to the hex value of the nonce, while others do not. I changed the system to support both methods, but the changes have not yet been released because we did not want to restart the system too frequently. Chris will restart sometime today to apply these changes. bminer is one of the miner programs that will now be compatible with the system after the release.
  • The next major issue facing the system is Coinbase payouts. Since it's been over a month since we submitted our tickets to Coinbase, the time has come to take action in regards to these payouts. Our current plan is to wait for 24 hours to see if the 48 hour hold that is placed on new API keys allows us to send these payouts with a new account. If that doesn't happen, then we will disconnect all Coinbase payouts for customers who have requested payouts in bitcoins, and mandate that those customers enter a bitcoin payout address to receive their money, which will resolve part of the issue. We will prevent new customers from connecting Coinbase accounts at that time. Then, we will begin an investigation into our options to issuing the existing dollar payouts. This will take some time because while it is not illegal for us to write checks, we do not have a bank account that can issue these payouts.
  • As part of our continuing stability and reliability initiative, Chris resolved an E-Mail bug that caused some messages sent from our system to be rejected by some spam filters. The cause of the issue was that there was an incorrect DKIM key installed on the mailserver. This issue was resolved and customers who never received E-Mails from us should no longer have that issue.
