Good morning!
  • Work continues this morning on stability and reliability improvements. Yesterday, I brought the number of monitored tasks up to 324 by adding a checker to send a notification when a daemon goes into error when it stops sending blocks to the mining server. I also resolved a memory leak in the share inserters, to prevent cases where some shares were delayed by 10 minutes when an inserter was restarted. I believe that we've gotten past most of the potential crash issues and I'm now focusing on detecting more minor issues, like coins that go into error, so that they can be resolved before tickets are submitted.
  • Vance is now working full-time on Monero mining. Expect to hear more news about that soon.
  • Today, Constance will release a new feature - the "default backup coin." This feature will conclude her focus on making it clearer to customers when the coins they intend to earn are not being earned and why they aren't. The "default backup coin" will allow customers to earn a coin other than litecoins in the case that all of the primary coins they wish to earn are in error.
