Discussion of development releases of Prohashing / Requests for features
Forum rules
The Development forum is for discussion of development releases of Prohashing and for feedback on the site, requests for features, etc.

While we can't promise we will be able to implement every feature request, we will give them each due consideration and do our best with the resources and staffing we have available.

Good morning!
  • Today is the final day to offer your advice on the new miner grouping features, which will resolve the #1 suggestion in the website wishlist where many customers want to organize their miners by algorithm or location. Tomorrow, the featureset will be frozen and implementation will begin.
  • There is a problem with Golem payouts that will be resolved tomorrow morning. Earnings in Golem are not affected; they just won't pay out until tomorrow. This problem is why we only offered one ERC20 token initially.
  • We got three major bugs over the past two days. First, old blocks are no longer repeatedly sent to the mining servers due to the queue failing to be cleared during a network disconnect. Second, Chris resolved one of the network connectivity issues with the WAMP server, correcting the disconnects that prevented blocks from being sent in the first place. Third, we finally figured out what caused the hashrates at the top of the forums and the charts page to get out of sync with actual mining. It turns out that scrypt miners, for an unknown reason, tend to connect and disconnect at a much higher rate than other algorithms' miners do. The totals were being increased when miners who were no longer connected would be assigned to coins, after having already been decreased during the disconnection.
  • I'm going to get back to ASICBOOST support tomorrow, now that we have someone willing to assist us. I'll also be finalizing the backend for charity mining.

Steve,

Those changes sound great, but I have to believe that implementing a"min-max" in addition to the static and dynamic share difficulty options would be a very popular change.

Best regards,

Mike
