A few brief points:
  • Chris successfully released support for Tradesatoshi last night and has started to add coins from the exchange. Because there are so many coins for this exchange, we will be limited by the ability to search the Internet and figure out each coin's algorithm, rather than by programming support for the exchange. Chris will do that over the next few days.
  • We will do one more release tonight. The purpose of this release is to resolve an issue where some customers still received "undefined" workers in the "live worker status" box. These workers were caused by duplicate worker name errors being handled improperly. Also included in this release will be performance improvements and the ASICBOOST code that can be enabled once someone provides a miner with which to confirm it.
  • Our initial data reveals that the NiceHash adjustments will allow us to pass on another 1% to miners. Sometime in the upcoming week, we will increase the payout rate by 1% across the board. We don't want to do it today because it's possible that the huge number of new TradeSatoshi coins will cause us initial losses because Chris enters the wrong algorithm or makes another mistake. These coins themselves should also push profits up a few more percent. We are already at LTC + 8% on scrypt even before these changes.
  • The "live coin status" box was changed to add additional protections against unauthorized bot use. As indicated in the documentation, use of endpoints that are not explicitly listed in the "API" section through the use of automated bots is against our terms of service, and the 'live coin status" is one of these. In addition to the existing protections, the box now has a random delay. The delay is short enough for customers to still be able to use it to determine which coins are in error and to see how the system is to performing, but long enough so that bots can't abuse this data to switch "c=" arguments and reduce the profitability of other customers.

Hi, Sounds like things are moving ahead.

Let me know when you want to test Cryptonight... happy to help bring this algo to the pool, though I suspect you will need constant vigilance on algo changes with some of the key coins stating they may change every 6 months or so.

It is look like you want to eliminate NiceHash renters from Prohashing and from this point of view you may be doing right steps, but from another point of view, you lose NiceHash hash power and your profitability will go down. It is not profitable for NiceHash renters to hold the expensive NiceHash hash power for long time in low profitable coins. NiceHash renters even if they mining only during coin low difficulty time, they pushing profit of the all pool up and the pool is more profitable for everyone who mining in that pool at this time, or I missed something?

We're not trying to eliminate NiceHash miners. I apologize if you got that incorrect impression. NiceHash miners are welcome to mine here, but customers who mined at the time that NiceHash miners were connected were being paid for coins that we weren't actually mining.

The pool's profitability is now more accurate and the money is being fairly distributed across all the miners.

Steve, but tell me, please, how can NH renters mine here, if there are inaccurate information about right time to mine? Long time mining with NH on PH is impossible due high costs of renting hash power. WAMP can give usable and accurate information about coins difficulty drop?

The current profitability subscribing to f_all_profitability_updates is instantaneous and accurate. You can use that for determining when to mine with us, as most NiceHash miners do.

This change only affected people who were illegally using our data for "live coin status" by somehow guessing the passwords and format of undocumented data. If you're using the subscriptions in the documentation, you won't have any issues.

Steve, thank you for your explanation and suggestion.
