Good evening!
  • There was a problem with ccex that we weren't paying attention to during the period of the first two upgrades. Something changed with their API, preventing withdrawals. The withdrawal failures repeated until eventually they cascaded through the system when our reserve went negative, stopping all trading for a few hours because there were no base coins like litecoins and bitcoins in the other exchanges.
  • When trading stopped, the imbalance in the system grew until we had $50,000 in unwanted small coins. The system detected the problem as designed and ceased payouts. Chris needed to prevent slippage with manual orders before he was able to pay customers. We apologize for the issue.
  • Tomorrow is the last day we need to finish out our current commitments. Constance will be starting on Wednesday. We will be asking her to be an "optimization engineer." Her goal will be to answer support tickets, and instead of simply resolving the problem, looking into the root cause and figuring out whether the backend or the website can be improved to prevent the tickets from recurring.
