If you decide to scale down in this situation, I think you would regret it for the rest of your lives. You would always wonder "WHAT IF we would have done it...". It's almost worth the investment just to spare yourself from this constant nagging, echoing in your brains until you get old...

Today servers are acting up, efficiency going down to 85% stale shares at three times what they used to be.
