Discussion of development releases of Prohashing / Requests for features
Forum rules
The Development forum is for discussion of development releases of Prohashing and for feedback on the site, requests for features, etc.

While we can't promise we will be able to implement every feature request, we will give them each due consideration and do our best with the resources and staffing we have available.

Please tell me it's not Slush's Stratum mining Spaghetti factory?!
No. I remember looking at what you describe, but it didn't have the features we needed.

In 2013, however, most of the code that existed in this area was written in Python, so we thought that it would be easier to write in Python and then, when we had problems, be able to look at other code (like how to serialize blocks) for hints. It was still the best choice to write the project in Python, because we wouldn't have been able to stick with the project without any returns for long enough to do it in C++ from the start.
