Discussion of development releases of Prohashing / Requests for features
Forum rules
The Development forum is for discussion of development releases of Prohashing and for feedback on the site, requests for features, etc.

While we can't promise we will be able to implement every feature request, we will give them each due consideration and do our best with the resources and staffing we have available.

Here's an update on the status of the project:
  • We're not aware of any mining issues right now that affect all miners. We found that over 50% of the issues that came up had been present in the system since before the release. The only reason they appeared now is because other issues we fixed had prevented them from ever occurring. With perhaps one exception (cloud rental mining), the mining server is in much better shape than it was on Saturday, I think.
  • The website is still not at the level we want it to be. There are a few charts that aren't loading properly, there is some confusion over the API, and there are important missing features, like the ability to separate x11 and scrypt earnings. We plan to hire someone to focus on website development this weekend and are confident that by Sunday night we will have an improved version of the website available for everyone.
  • There is an x11 earnings bug, where earnings are a factor of 65536 lower than they should be. For now, you can multiply x11 balances by 65536 to figure out what you earned. There was a communication error and I thought the issue was different, which is why it hasn't been fixed yet. Now that we are aware of the problem, I should be able to fix it today and then Chris will modify all the balances to multiply them by 65536 for tomorrow's payouts.
  • The block explorers continue to be offline while data is being copied to the new server. The ETA for them coming back online is 1-2 days.
  • Jihan Wu brought online a lot of ASICs, which have driven down profitability on scrypt on some coins. He seems to produce these in batches, and apparently this shouldn't happen again for three months.
  • After the end of the weekend, we will evaluate where we are with the system and will make a post to discuss the next steps. We will probably do 2-3 weeks of minor improvements and bugfixes. After that, we can add Dagger-Hashimoto mining, improve website things like per-miner electricity settings, or start work on automatic GPU algorithm switching, the code for which is included in this release but not activated yet.
