Forum rules
The Development forum is for discussion of development releases of Prohashing and for feedback on the site, requests for features, etc.

While we can't promise we will be able to implement every feature request, we will give them each due consideration and do our best with the resources and staffing we have available.

Hi. Here's the current status.

After many initial issues, we think that the system is now in better condition than it was before the release. What we found is that there were many problems beneath the surface that didn't appear until this release, when we were really looking for them. In the long run, we expect the fact that we resolved these issues to result in increased profitability. The following list shows where we are with the different areas of the system:
  • Mining server: We have resolved all known problems that customers reported with the mining server, including some that were unrecognized before the release. You may notice that, as a result, your miners have fewer work restarts. Please let us know your comments on whether your actual hashrate has improved as a result.
  • Trading and payouts: With so much money at stake, Chris delayed payouts today because we needed to be sure that none of the changes affected the payout software, which hadn't been modified in three years. He's resolved a few issues, but he expects to issue today's payouts within two hours. Tomorrow, payouts should not be delayed because today's payouts will have proven the software.
  • Website: There are a few issues with charts loading on the website, which were reported by customers. We will fix these issues as the lowest priority items. We are not aware of any website issues that are causing people to be unable to save payout addresses or modify proportions.
  • Live statistics: Unrelated to this release, the live statistics server crashed this afternoon. Debian automatically downloads updates, but does not install them until the user agrees to do so, and therefore the server ran out of disk space. He wasn't able to boot it up and therefore he needs to restore it from a backup. He added more disk space and will have it online by tonight.
Our general impression right now is that there are display issues, but the mining server is running correctly for both algorithms. If we're missing something, please let us know. Thanks for your patience!
