Discussion of development releases of Prohashing / Requests for features
Forum rules
The Development forum is for discussion of development releases of Prohashing and for feedback on the site, requests for features, etc.

While we can't promise we will be able to implement every feature request, we will give them each due consideration and do our best with the resources and staffing we have available.

Hi! Here's where we stand today.
  • The x11 test server is running well. We've resolved all known issues except for one, where excelerator's miners are disconnecting for an unknown reason that can't be determined on the server side. We also can't reproduce this issue with our equipment, as everything seems to work fine for us.
  • Chris contacted a number of people to see if anyone else encounters these random disconnects. If we can isolate the problem to only excelerator's x11 miners, then we can probably release, so that everyone else can start x11 mining on April 15. If the problem affects other miners, then we may need to purchase x11 mining equipment and wait for it to arrive, which could take weeks. The most frustrating part about working in this business is that there are so many interconnected systems, many of which are poorly programmed, that everyone has different hardware and software and it's impossible to know what will work until we are close to launch.
  • When we finally can fix this problem, or decide to go ahead without it, there are a number of issues that will be resolved that we have not backported to the scrypt-only fork. For example, Chris has spent a lot of time helping users who have encountered difficulties with payout coins due to bugs in the coins' wallets; there is better error handling in the x11 fork. The API is revamped to support live updates, and some long-requested website problems have been fixed.
  • During the weekend and week of April 7-14, it's possible that Chris may respond more slowly than usual, and we apologize for that. Taxes are here again, and his primary focus that week will be meeting the tax deadline.
If you have x11 miners and access to detailed logs about their behavior, make sure to contact Chris, because your logfiles could be the key in fixing this critical issue.
