With this thread i want help the users with an M.A.T Excalibur , Alchemist Alcheminer and other. If your Miner from year 2015 and specified to 256MH/s than its an Alcheminer with other Name and with same issue for >20% rejected.

jstefanop wrote a new firmware for the Spartan Chip (it costs 20 Bucks) and wrote an driver for bfgminer. It works realy good. I have avg. <0.5% rejected and <3% HW on the most pools. Sometimes you have to playing with settings. Very fast coinswitch and low coin difficulty are an problem also after flashing, but not so heavy. Use pool instruction for KNC Titan, it works very well for MAT too!
But with the flashing the MAT are usable :-)

You need

- Raspberrypi 2 (B+) [Raspi 3 dont work!]
- short Cable for pins
- Flashfile from jstefanop
- reading this instruction Original Litecoin Thread
You can clone luke-jr bfgminer and not jstefanop git, the driver is now in lukes git

Hurdles:
- By cloning github certificates error, use the ca-validaty ignore command.
- Restart the Raspi after every well done flashing
- Not decting chain -> clean with wodka the pins before pin in, just so that not make dirty contacts inside
- Error while flashing -> try it few times, reboot, clean, try again few times... If it dont work, than this hashboard may have issue
- if you root, change directony in /home before cloning otherwise you to login for ever with root to use bfg...
- if bfgminer cant found board, than you have to stop the Pythonminer in the GUI or rename the MAT folder.
- If bfgminer cant found board and pythonminer is disabled, than plug out the electric cables and give electricity first to the board and at least to controller.

I have flashed five (two my own, other for friends) M.A.T, it works! ;)

(Please dont missunterstand! I dont want make promotion for jstefanop and i get nothing for it! I have spent very much time for searching and making and in past i would be very happy if someone tells me straight this solution for the rejected issue)

and it works great i used it on my Alchemist miner few month ago i paid jat in donations to finish support so you can use it with any PI type PC with BFG you want to with custom made USB doges and a powered usb hub,it works mine uses a Cube board one running minera with Ubuntu 16.4.1.

but you may have to buy the firmware off jat not bfg there two different things bfg is free the firmware to let you use bfg after you flash it may not be.

Yes I'm on bitcointalk, just PM (same name) me on there and ill send you the file...I don't check this forum. And donations from all the people that I know haven't donated would be appreciated...spent a lot of time on this upgrade and you guys are hashing an extra 50-100 USD per month per unit because of it...I unfortunately barely got anything back for this work.

Hi fugju and Nukepower,

Got my hands on a Mat miner with stock firmware 1.5.0, a few days ago i wrote a pb to Jstefanop on bitcointalk asking for the firmware (and willing to pay a donation to him), but he's not responding.
Won't bother the guy to much, so i try my luck here.
Problem: i got no new firmware and the topic on https://archive.litecointalk.org/index. ... ic=27370.0 is gone, in fact, all archive.litecointalk.org is gone :(

What's good: got the right Raspberrypi 2 (B+) and the short cables for pins :)

So, my question is: is somebody willing to give me a copy of his firmware and has some instructions to load it with the Raspberrypi?
Think that's done with Xilinx protocol or something like that.

Thanks

I hope anybody can share the file or any response is possible. Donate is no problem as thanks.

You use litecointalk.org-1472284598.warc (topic=27370.0 and topic=24945.0) with webarchiveplayer.exe for the old tutorial. 8-)

See https://github.com/jstefanop/AlcheMist for a emailadress.

Same problem and few others.

I know. :|
Can you backup your stock firmware 1.5.0?

Got a response from jstefanop on bitcointalk.

Still working on the donation part, mining my ass off right now to get the amount.

Got the full instructions from an archive file which was backupped from litecointalk, date september 2016, after a long, long search :)

And yes, i have a backup file from the 1.5.0 stock firmware.
Also the Alchemist 1.16 firmware from Shoggot, posted March 11, 2015 on litecointalk, but didn't try it.

Link for archive litecointalk: https://archive.org/details/Litecointal ... 6September
When downloaded and unrarred, you need a webarchiveplayer to read it. topic=27370.0 and topic=24945.0

For the interested: Look on github for more stock firmware regarding the Mat/alchemist miner.

For thecoder2012: If you want, i can send you the 1.5.0 firmware. But i don't know if it will work for you. Risk is yours.

Very helpful. Thanks!

Yes, I want. Sure it's always my risk.
