Is it possible to enable solo mining on some coins with no exchanges? for example genstake. i realize they need exchanges to get value out of the few percent of pool fees, but that shouldn't stop me from mining it right? i know i can just solo mine to my own wallet, but it doesn't work as well as stratum. or is this just a case of a coin that will never be available for mining again and should be delisted from the pool but hasn't yet?
i'm also interested in having some payout coins that aren't on the exchanges prohashing uses, for example medic coin. it was a scrypt PoW coin for a while, and then transitioned to PoS and folding@home work. i don't know which exchanges support medic coin but it's not impossible to find.
