Electrical usage calculation question

Post by Foldmine » Mon Oct 02, 2017 3:55 am

Hi all,

Just a question about if anyone is using the feature to calculate electricity cost. I've entered the figures (cost per kWh = $0.14 [I'm in England - it's more expensive], miner electricity usage = 1500w), and the total earnings chart is showing a max of $0.24 per day! This is obviously off by an order of magnitude (1.5 x 0.14 x 24 = $5.04).

I know this doesn't affect my miners' performance but it is a useful feature and would be nice to see it working.

Thanks in advance

I'm having the same issue, by all accounts, most websites say i should be eating through around $2 of power a day with my L3+, but this website is saying close to 11 cents a day

This feature is a low priority because it's implemented incorrectly. Initially, it was envisioned that each account would have one miner associated with it. In 2014, that was changed and multiple workers were able to be associated with a single account - but the invalid assumption that they all use the same amount of power and that the same number of miners will be online all the time remains.

The solution to this problem is to add two password arguments for electricity values. That's something we'll address if we decide upon expansion once the lawyer gets back to us.
