Try to mine Equitradercoin (EQT) I'm using cpuminer-multi-rel1.3.1-x64.... I cannot get this to work? Can someone please help? Here is my .bat
cpuminer-gw64-corei7 -a X11 -o stratum+tcp://prohashing.com:3333 --user ***** --pass c=Equitradercoin
pause
"I just get "stratum authentication failed
.... retry after 10 seconds"
If I replace the "c=Equitradercoin" with d=512" it will connect and start mining. However I only want to mine Equitradercoin.
Thank you,
R

Re: Equitradercoin Mining Help
In pass argument.
a=x11 c=Equitradercoin m=solo
Maybe it will work. Try this.

Re: Equitradercoin Mining Help
I think that worked! I see it under the live worker status on the website now... I will let it run and see what happens. Does this look normal? Sorry I'm new!
Thanks, Ryan

looking good, CPU mining isn't profitable though. I don't know if this was just a starting test. But you can calculate one and another on whattomine.com

and don't forget that if you use m=solo you'll need to put the address of Equitradercoin because you can get only this coin. Or you can remove m=solo if you want PPS and you want to set Payout proportions. You can learn order arguement on this page. https://prohashing.com/help.html
Solo mode provides a simple way to set up miners to support a particular coin network and solo mine without having to install and connect a coin daemon, or go through complex pool setup yourself. Solo mode also provides greater profit than does setting up a single-coin pool because you receive bonuses from coins that were merge-mined. Merge mining usually earns about 10-15% of primary coin mining, so using solo mode at Prohashing will average about 110% of earnings expected with a single-coin pool. When using "solo" mode, payout proportions are ignored for this worker.
Merge-mining profits for solo mining are credited immediately. Profits for the primary coin are not credited until the block is confirmed. Some networks require as long as 720 blocks for confirmation, so confirmation time can range between 5 minutes and 3 days. Because solo mining passes on the variance to the miner, orphaned blocks are not credited to earnings.
The "c=" parameter must be present to use "m=solo." If c= is not present or if the specified coin does not exist, then this argument will be ignored. If the target coin is not enabled for payouts or is in error, the worker will be disconnected so that it can fail over to a backup pool.

Re: Equitradercoin Mining Help
I dont think anyone knows much about CPU mining on here to be honest--it just doesnt pay any bills anymore.
The expected payout for X-11 is .0058 X megahash rate per day. Your megahash rate of 32K.....
That's .032 x .0058 = .0001856 cents per day.
That comes out to be just about 7 pennies per YEAR.
Pretty sure you used more electricity in 1 hour than you made in the whole year doing that.
I'm NOT saying you can't do it, or shouldn't play with it, I'm just letting you know what the results may be before you get started.
The Video cards and PCs are not meant to run at full power 24-7, they sit idle 95% of the time and power up for just a few minutes here and there, then go back to idle. Your PC sits around waiting for stuff to do all day, it gets lazy, you start running a marathon with it 24-7 and never give it a break and it will do pretty much what you would expect it to do. Burn out way way earlier than it was meant to do.
Just make sure to weight out your risks and your rewards.
Burn out your computer...make 7 cents a year.
Is it still worth it?

Re: Equitradercoin Mining Help
Thanks hashingpro for the info. It is more just for fun/learn not to make money. "Burn out your computer...make 7 cents a year.
Is it still worth it" I think we both know the answer to that... OF COURSE! lol
I also have ccminer-x64 running on my GTX 760 - 2042.55 KH/s so that's a little better... lol. I will keep playing with it maybe buy some real hardware in the future. I need to hide in my basement from the wife and kids.
