ipv6-only miners?

Post by Steve Sokolowski » Sat Sep 16, 2017 11:08 am

Are there any customers who are using ipv6-only connections for mining? I wonder if some of the people who say that they can't connect are having difficulties because we don't have ipv6 enabled.

We disabled it because we aren't knowledgeable enough about it to be confident we wouldn't have security vulnerabilities, and the number of customers that would have ipv6-only connections was likely low. If, however, it turns out that there are a lot of customers who are using such connections, that would be an argument to spend time testing and enabling it.
