I would like to know what is the best method to use?
I've tried solo for a while, but then it seems nothing is happening much, i understand that block confirmation can take quite some time with solo, but i would like to see some progress....
So for now i swithced back to PPS, but i'm still curious about what's the best method to use.
Please enlighten me?

what coin you mining? if your hashrare is low, dont try solo mode and you're not luck enough . you'll get noting in a very long time
