Bitcoin SV payouts and mining delayed

Post by Steve Sokolowski » Sun Feb 09, 2020 1:38 pm

The Bitcoin SV network had a fork on February 4, but nobody notified us about it and we had to reindex the blockchain after upgrading.

Currently, it appears that about 3 days will be required to get the blockchain up to date, during which time mining will be disabled. Customers can earn money in Bitcoin SV, but we won't be able to issue payouts in the coin until the reindexing is complete.

We apologize for the inconvenience.

We successfully were able to upgrade this coin, and payouts are enabled again.

Unfortunately, something that changed in the coin is causing our mining servers to fail to receive new blocks. I spent the day looking into the issue, but was not able to determine the cause of the problem. I'll continue the investigation tomorrow and hope to have mining enabled as soon as possible.

This issue has been resolved. We determined the problem was a configuration issue with a new server.

We aren't sure what the cause of the configuration issue is, but we moved Bitcoin SV back to the old server to get it online as soon as possible and will troubleshoot the new server today.
