Enhanced PPLNS data available later today

Post by Steve Sokolowski » Sat Oct 19, 2019 2:48 pm

Later today, Chris will issue a new release that will enhance the PPLNS data that is available to miners.

Previously, the "Live PPLNS data" section of the "Dashboard" page only displayed the status of rounds for the overall pool, and it did not display the status for coins where no customers had ever found any blocks, nor did it display data from blocks that were found before the last time the mining server was restarted.

With this new release, several additional rows of data will be made available. First, all data will be displayed, even if the mining servers were recently restarted. Second, personal data will be included, such as the percentage of the work that you contributed to the block, and the estimated reward you would earn if the block were found right now. Finally, all of the data will be live, so it will be updated every time one of your workers submits a share.

The mining servers do not need to be restarted for this change to become effective, although API users will see a brief disconnect while the code is deployed.

Where can you see when a block is found and payout for the block? also my proportion and projected payout went to zero but we are still on the same block, this is what it is showing, the 9605975 is the only one of the three ive been mining on currently.

DigiByte
Scrypt 9590391
34.492K / 82.477K
239.12% reward
0.000% proportion
0.00000000 projected

9598971
26.852K / 66.172K
246.43% reward
0.000% proportion
0.00000000 projected

9605975
62.401K / 46.592K
74.66% reward
0.704% proportion
4.52783722 projected

This issue is best addressed with a support ticket where you can include your username, and I can then review the data to explain completely what is going on. Could you submit one?

From the information you presented here, it appears to me that there were three Digibyte blocks found by PPLNS miners in the past 30 days. You mined shares before the first block, 9605975, was found, so you earned 0.704% of that block's reward. Since it's been so long since then, that payout was likely issued long ago, or it is still in your earnings awaiting payout because your payout threshold is very high.

After that, you stopped mining PPLNS for Digibytes and contributed no work to the subsequent blocks that are listed here. Therefore, your proportion of those blocks' reward is zero, and all of the reward was distributed amongst the others who mined Digibytes during that time.

Once you've submitted your ticket, I should be able to answer any further questions you might have.
