Bitcoin payouts delayed

Post by Steve Sokolowski » Sun Apr 28, 2019 5:47 pm

Bitcoin payouts are delayed today due to poor luck on previous days. While we have $275,000 in extra reserves to cover shortfalls when there are days of consecutive poor luck, the bitcoin cash we'll use to pay this debt is in a cold wallet. We need to download the latest blocks to our offline bitcoin cash client, import the private key of the cold wallet, scan the blockchain, transfer the coins to an exchange, sell them, withdrawal them, and pay them to customers.

This process is likely to take another six to twelve hours. We apologize for the inconvenience. Payouts may be delayed tomorrow as well. You can see the profit reports for how the luck has been poor lately.

The problem is that our unconfirmed reserve is positive 2.45 bitcoins, but those blocks are immature. On the bitcoin cash network, 100 blocks need to pass before the money can be spent, which takes a long time. Once those blocks become mature, this problem will go away, but it's going to take another 24 hours before the confirmed reserve is above zero.

The payouts for today are also going out now, and we had exceptional luck the past two days, meaning that this issue will be eliminated after today. Thanks for your patience.
