Bitcoin payout transaction IDs may be incorrect

Post by Steve Sokolowski » Sun Oct 04, 2015 12:35 pm

There is an ongoing attack on the bitcoin network where someone is changing transaction IDs using the malleability problem that has been known for many years. This attack may cause transaction ids on the miner earnings pages to be incorrect until it stops.

Unfortunately, it would require a significant amount of CPU power and a lot of development time and testing to fix this one. It will be low on the priorities list, with multiple algorithms more urgent. In the meantime, payouts are not affected; the transaction id may simply be different than the one that is displayed.
