Restoring after brownouts

Post by Steve Sokolowski » Mon Oct 15, 2018 11:33 am

There were brownouts at the server location that caused the system to go offline. We're on the way back home to get to a computer to restore service and will post an update when it's complete.

This issue has been resolved. Thanks for your patience.

The lights at the datacenter were flickering, indicating that there were voltage drops. Chris found that the battery has a setting to determine how much the voltage has to drop before a switchover occurs. It's possible to raise that level so that a switchover will happen earlier in conditions like these, in exchange for reducing the battery's lifespan. Chris increased that level so that this situation is less likely to occur again.
