Congratulations to superminer Swelt!

I wanted to congratulate the latest superminer, Swelt! Yesterday, he found a block of Komodocoins with a block reward of $9 and transaction fees of $4627.60. This is the second instance of a miner finding such a huge block, after dmdllc207 found a Verge block with $100,000 in transaction fees on December 26.

While the scrypt profits for that Verge block were distributed across many miners, there are many fewer equihash workers given that we just started out, and therefore this was a much bigger reward for those who are mining equihash with this block. Equihash miners who were mining this morning between 6:02 and 6:02:40 earned hundreds of dollars per share submitted during that period and will notice large balances in their accounts this morning.

Congratulations to Swelt and to everyone who was mining equihash a few hours ago!

What about static equihash miners that set c=zcach? do they get a split also?

I am guessing if they were solo mining, they wouldn't see any of that profit split, just pooled miners that split up the profits.

I do not see the reward of which you said. Why?

You would have had to mined a verified share during that 40 seconds in order to get a split of the reward.

If your equipment is so slow/low hashrate or you picked a coin to mine or were assigned one which took over 40 seconds to get a share registered, then you don't have any shares in which to take a split of the reward with.

Miners who were mining zcash would not have received the reward. Miners who were mining zencash and who were not solo would have, however. Every solo miner earned nothing because the block was found by a non-solo miner.

So if it took longer than 40 seconds you might not have found a share during that time.
No share, no split of the reward.

You need enough hash power to find shares faster, or be able to use a lower level difficulty so you find shares more often.
Not sure which is allowed on equihash algo.
