Update, registrations closed

Post by Steve Sokolowski » Mon Oct 16, 2017 8:20 pm

Hi,

We did not hear from the lawyer today, so we have decided to fire him. Because we expect it to take 4 more weeks to find another lawyer, get a consultation, sign paperwork, and receive an evaluation, we will not be able to make any investment until Thanksgiving at the earliest. The salaries of programmers compared to lawyers, demonstrate what we're finding here - writing software is a cinch, but getting legal advice is hard or impossible.

Therefore, we will be closing registrations for now and limiting support to current customers only. Closing registrations will allow us to devote valuable weekend time to resolving the network connectivity problems and improving performance as much as possible without parallelizing coin assignment, because we don't feel confident enough in our ability to quickly resolve whatever issues arise from the parallelization if they happen on a Monday.

We may be able to open registrations sooner if we can resolve the connectivity problems and increase performance sufficiently. It's possible that we could discover a fix tomorrow. If we can't, then we will prioritize providing existing customers with high-quality service and turn away new customers until everyone can have a high service level.

I apologize for the restriction on registrations. We're as frustrated as many customers are at being unable to address these issues and want to provide excellent service to everyone. Thanks for your patience!

Thanks,

-Steve
