Nothing really unfortunate about it.

If you had your miner right here and now you'd be making around $1200 a month at current siacoin prices and at the suspected 1.2TH speeds of the SC1.

Obviously, this won't be reality, but even if it were half that you'd be doing better then L3+, D3 and i believe even S9 currently.

Can't know if something is unfortunate until it finally releases.

Oh, and not to mention that at 500 watts, you'll also be spending a lot less for that profit then the L3+, and definitely the D3 and S9 and most definitely the A3.
