Misleading live profitability info

Post by financeguru » Tue Dec 26, 2017 4:06 am

I was checking the last the average profitability amount for Skrypt and for the real payout... So far I can see the difference ist always between 20-40% less
Example of yesterday
Average was 5.12 per MH means for 1L3+ 0.0512×504
= 25.8048 ... Payout was 17.6
I'm I seeing something wrong? But lately I'm doing with my second L3+ in other pools way more profit than here (unfortunately)

It all depends on what coin you are choosing for your payout.
As the coins go up in value over the day, you get higher average payout than the rest.
If you coin goes down in value over the day, you end up with a profit that is UNDER the 1HM expected average.

The 1MH is just what the pool paid out to the scrypt autopool autoswitch miners.
So if you are making 20% less with your coin of choice...then someone else out there is making 20% more than the expected by picking their coin payout of choice.

Sounds logical.
Any recommendations how to keep the daily income stable without all these up and downs?

As payout I'm using right now
50% LTC / 35% XVG / 15% Doge

Where did you look up 5.12c? I see 3.59c/MH for yesterday's average scrypt earnings (Dec 25) : 0.0359*504=$18.09

I've witnessed it in the 3c for several days now

Are you looking at the LIVE profits for scrypt? or on the 1MH expected payout for the previous day after its been recorded and comparing it with your numbers?

I'm looking in the live profitability section (the one where it changes the payout on a share basis)
Right now for the example it shows Scrypt (5.465 TH/s) 5.321¢

I might be also looking in a completely wrong place :/

The average earnings of the previous day(s) are the "1 MH/s expected payouts", right below the "Live profitability".

That is the CURRENT mining profitability is at that exact very moment, it does not account for the whole day, of which will go up and down.

If you're looking for daily information, you need to look at the 1 MH/s expected payouts

The daily is the average for that day based off the live. There is really no point in looking at the live.

You might have to cycle through the algorithms as i have found it is buggy, where it either does not show anything there until i click a new algorithm, or sometimes i'll click x11 and it shows script, and vice versa.

Live profitability does not reflect the whole day, just this second, as such I feel its sorta deceptive.

The CHARTS page, 1 MH expected, you may have to use the dropdown to X11 then back to scrypt to refresh it.
